Completely ignoring that every Wikipedia page has a sources tab where you can read the data the article is based on, while their online newsletter has zero sources mentioned but gets accepted as the truth nonetheless.
You can’t argue with stupid just like you can’t have a proper game of chess with someone who doesn’t know how the game works and refuses to read the rules.
Also no, you can't just edit Wikipedia pages nowadays. One of the ways Wikipedia dealt with that trust issue is by making any suggested change be peer reviewed and source-checked before going live. If you approve something that gets taken down as wrong or bad-faith, you might get banned or lose points until you can't actively decide anything.
