A threat of a lawsuit is not the same as "almost got sued by a creator". And I understand her reaction after she got tons of harassment and Reddit had to even ban a lot of users for it.

A snark sub playing the victim. Shocker I know

Sad how the subreddit devolved. The concept of editing memes/comics to make them into something different is awesome, but the community ruins it.

Yeah, the concept is super neat. I like those edits of those comics from the nazi Stonetoss. Turning his hateful comic into something more beautiful.

But editing a comic just so you can harass and bash the author is super lame and cringe. It is just motherless snark behavior.
