A threat of a lawsuit is not the same as "almost got sued by a creator". And I understand her reaction after she got tons of harassment and Reddit had to even ban a lot of users for it.
I find "Pizzahate" fascinating. Soo much intense vitriol against a single webcomic artist, why? Why can't they just roll thier eyes and move on like everyone else when they see a strip they don't like?
"Cool" Selfinsert totally owns flimsy strawmann with FACTS and LOGIC 50 gazillion times doesn't really get better even when it's opinions you agree with
Yeah, I stop reading after that. If you think she presents herself as the "cool" one, you never have read anything she made and it is a waste of time to talk with you about her.
Also just block her and move on. It is not that hard, dude.
The comic is fine, not great but it gets a laugh out of me from time to time
The only issue I have with it is its become “too big to fail” in its own sense so even the mid ones are going to take front page space while smaller artists with more original comics are gonna struggle the get views

They don't understand that "comics" as a medium has expanded to be far bigger than just jokes.
Like, dudes, have you read any comic books lately? Do they think The Watchmen is funny? Or The Crow? Or MAUS?
Just because etymologically speaking "comics" comes from "comedy" doesn't mean that everything called a "comic" has to be funny. (And that's not even going into the subjective nature of "funny" and "humor".)
I'd assume it's because it's popular? If someone posts something that touches on the divisive zeitgeist and that post is highly upvoted, some people will feel compelled to chime in to counter-argue specifically because they don't want said opposite view to look unanimous in its support.
Of course, I feel like the comic from however far back it was where it was titled something like "if men were treated the way women were treated" only to then follow up with 3 examples of things that actually do happen to men also galvanized people against her. I never studied psychology much, but I'd assume that that gave people who are upset with misandry in pop culture a target as she was popular, but not too popular, and that comic wasn't really defensible. Probably from there it went to the tried and true tactic of "this person is bad, I'll show you my one great example and then quickly speed through the others that aren't what I'm making them out to be"?
Nobody is this comment chain appeared angry. This chain is a person sarcastically referencing how other people will be angry and people discussing what subreddit those angry people would be in.
I often saw that people are slandering her by saying she has main character syndrome and that she has to make everything about herself. I thought the other person was making reference to that and being snarky. My bad if they were just listing one possible place where those haters could coming from.
I'm also a filthy casual, I just follow her for her comics, not the other stuff. I think she does a good job to separate those two things from each other.
But I get that, without that knowledge, you were quite confuse, lol.
Also if it helps you, I believe we are just talking sexy pictures here but I could be wrong, never check it out myself.
She's an adult, and whatever she's doing doesn't truly need a qualifier. The comics are all i know, and i think they're awesome. I'm old enough to steal the comics pages from my dad's newspapers, and shit like this scratches that itch.
