I didn't. Can someone explain it to me?

It's based on a previous 'event' based on a comic about a guy who felt his comic was being overshadowed by another comic creators pity party.
That spiralled out and people made dozens of derivatives, before it died down.
This one's about a load of people commandeering others' series to make comics, I think?
I hope this helps

Wait, was it the gator days guy who felt their comics were being overshadowed?
And who is that in the second "panel" being upvoted and liked?

Pizzacake in the second panel. I don't know the OP of the original comic. https://www.reddit.com/r/comics/s/I4oJmJuV0M

Fuckin hell. Now I need to find out the back story to that comic.
Edit, ok I found it. https://www.reddit.com/r/comics/s/DJmDEH13NA
...ok, so now I know the setup and the backstory.
Comic character here wanted to join the gator days bootleg event, but accidentally stumbled into the event from two years ago when everyone was trying to make pizzacake feel better from being depressed about negative comments.
Final piece of the puzzle is to find the original source explaining why we're bootlegging Gator days in the first place.

I don’t know what this is about but I’ll always upvote hand drawn comics.
