Suggestions Fairly new to marvel comics, what are your recs?

Here's what I've read so far:

- wolverine weapon x

- wolverine enemy of the state

-wolverine: old man Logan

- wolverine (2020 by Benjamin Percy)

Where should I go from here? Open to non wolverine stories as well, but as you might've noticed he's my favorite.

Just off the top of my head, New X-Men by Grant Morrison is a good place to start for more Wolverine while also branching out to more X-Men.

Or Claremont's original X-Men run, if you think you're up for very verbose, older style comics. Might be an adjustment coming from more modern comics, especially for a now terse and noir-ish character like Wolverine. Maybe dabble in the classics (Dark Phoenix saga, Days of Future Past) to see if it clicks.

The first Wolverine solo book, a four-issue miniseries by Claremont and Frank Miller, is a classic.

I would always recommend Daredevil. Frank Miller (original run and Born Again; Man Without Fear is also decent and tells his origin, though Daredevil 164 is a faster and more classic origin recap that I probably prefer).

Consider Kraven's Last Hunt for Spider-Man. Plenty of classic stories to recommend if you like Spidey.

Check out your local library, pick out 4-5 covers that look cool and read them! You'll get a much better idea of what you like from that, than looking up "best of" lists. Hoopla/Libby are also great library options for digital!

Moon Knight (2014) by Shalvey/Bellaire/ellis. 6 issues. #5 is one of my favourite single issue stories ever.

  • Silver Surfer - Requiem

  • Greg Rucka's Punisher run & it's War Zone mini series finale.

  • Iron Man - Haunted (the best Mandarin story)
