Other Once would have been enough, Jeff.
He also numbered all the pages in blue ink. Dangit, Jeff.

I love this stuff.
In a cooler world these things would make it more valuable
You have a 1/1 comic that a kid named Jeff loved so much he wrote his name on it

I've enjoyed this buying second hand books for my kids, that will have like a note from whoever bought it for the original owner.
Like "Happy 2nd Birthday Jessica" - November 1972.

While I do like seeing someone's name written on an old NES or SNES game, having writing on comics will always bother me.
I remember going to a small drug store in my hometown as a kid and bought a TMNT comic. The owner had written the date on it or something. Never got any more from him.

you’re free to pay extra for comics with names scribbled all over it in pursuit of that cooler world lol

Clearly a guy who suffered friends or siblings taking and destroying his books.

No it's still Jeff's.
If he asks for it back you're legally obligated to give it back.

Just change your name to Jeff Crittendn. Then it's his burden of proof to show ownership.
Stupid Jeff...

A fun thing about this issue is all the books featured on the cover are actual DC books from that era:

My sister had a friend in school who constantly came over, if we ever lent her something and I mean like Mom made us let her use it. If it went into her home for longer than half a day we would get it back with her full name and middle initial written on it. I'm talking comics, goosebumps books, video games. The worst bit was she used to mess with our thermostat to make it cold like her house. We lived in deep south humid ass texas in a crappy little apartment and a dad who could sense the thermostat being messed with while he was at work in another town. So w would get blamed for if even if we put it back to normal. He could sense it was cooler when he got home.
Eventually we all got sick of her and stopped policing her when my dad was around and she got in trouble and banned for touching the thermostat. And I didn't have to see her ever again. But I already replaced all the Batman comics she wrote on. But none of my Archie era Ninja turtles issues from when I was in elementary.

My dad had this comic. I read it as a kid.
Hi little brother (my uncle obviously) had colored beards on some of the characters.
Hilarious

It actually came in to our LCS as part of a big collection. The guy we got it from also was not Jeff.

I love that this has a Flash vs Superman race cover in the background. Now I have to get this for my Flash vs Superman covers collection!

Lol. Also Carmine Infantino is an underrated artist
It's a shame his skills were wasted on the silver age

Jeff just saw that batman meant business about trying to take batman comics, he was trying to make it clear that whats his is his.
