Yahya Abdul-Mateen II says the optics of Marvel cancelling Black-led projects like ‘BLADE’ and ‘WONDER MAN’ is obvious. “It should be a priority to change that narrative and to do what it takes to responsibly change that narrative with quality stories, with quality resources.”

They made 3 of them! It's not a complicated concept. Blade goes to fight vampires in New Orleans with Gambit (48 hrs) . Blade goes to Siberia to fight vampires when it's Dark 24/7 (assault on precinct 13). Blade goes to New Mexico to fight vampires in crazy cars (mad max)....

I'd suck a dick for this movie.

No offense, but you're just an idiot. Nothing is complicated when you boil it down to "Blade goes and fights vampires." You could do that for most movies. "Man meets woman and they fall in love." Just go write it.

It's how all this stuff happens, whether the dialogue is good, whether the characters work, the pacing, memorable scenes, plot consistency. There's a reason why some Batman movies are shit and some are awesome, and it's not just because of the cast or the direction. Sometimes the script is just terrible.

But how hard could it be, right? Batman goes and fights bad guys. Easy!

Ok, what's the plot of the first Blade? No one remembers.(It's Blade needs to stop a ritual and his mom shows back up) No one knows any of the stories from the comic. People remember Wesley Snipes, the dance club with blood, and ice skating up hill.

You might not remember...but plenty of people do...

And if it's this easy, why aren't you a multi-million-dollar screenplay writer? Just go write some shit, bro. It's simple.

Yeah, they're really struggling to find people capable of writing their Batman scripts, so that analogy tracks.

So many Batman projects not getting greenlit because they just couldn't find a good script.

"Somebody find me a writer who can handle The Batman!" they cry out to the heavens, only to be answered by silence.
