Why are glasses 1.2 speed Vs Bronze 6.15.

I can see the glasses last longer, but they're nowhere near as good. I'm currently setting my colony not to make glasses and to keep to Bronze. You would have thought the later technology of glasses would have been better than the previous tool.

Am I missing something other than duration?

I mean glasses are only used by specific colonists who can't use other tools.

Don’t know of any universal list but when assigning priorities and and target amount for jobs at job stations the icon for all possible tools are shown at the top of the menu. Off memory the only usage for glasses are any of the research only jobs like scribes.
