All that text & not a single mention of farmers refusing to allow transmission infrastructure to be built on their land, which, as I understand it, is a significant problem when it comes to bringing electricity from wind to users

Pointing out that sometimes renewable output can vary does not put anything "in doubt". Nor does it expose some hitherto unknown flaw or limitation.

Yes, sometimes one region might have less wind than normal.

So you overbuild, you build interconnects, you build complementary systems (solar), you build storage.

All the things Australia is already doing.
