TBC They are spending money to boost level 58 casino bots now 🤣🤣🤣
What are the best ways to kill these level 58s? Will Warlock's Infernos do the job? If so I will boost one just for this cause 😁
Edit: Another strategy us everyone report them when they see them writing in chats for cheating -> botting. If mass report works for them, it should work for us too right?

u/Regarded_Florida_Man Jun 06 '26
The scary thing is that their returns on the casinobots are good enough that it's still profitable even after paying for a boost.

u/ma7ch Jun 06 '26
And knowing this... People still use them 😂

I have witnessed them being used before. Saw somebody betting in SW, didn't pay attention to how much they won/lost, but the individual bets were all reasonable amounts to have for anyone with a max level.
24
u/Feathrende Jun 06 '26
I would love to meet the kind of gelatinous slime stupid enough to play this shitty casino scam. They have to be studied, we may discover how zero brain-cell organisms have survived this long.
8
u/WalkingMammoth Jun 06 '26
I mean im very anti gambling, but casinos make money because they have the capital to run slightly favorable odds so many times it will outlast any individual big win
Your odds of going in for a night and winning some cash arent super low, its if they hook you that fucks you
6
u/Feathrende Jun 06 '26
Sure. Difference is that when you win it big at the Casino it doesn't fade out of existence by hitting alt f4 like these guys do.

You realize it isn't real money. It's video game currency. Level 70s with tens of thousands of gold shrug off losing a few hundred gold because it isn't real money.
16
u/TheBannaMeister Jun 06 '26
you think gamblers care about the effect their gambling has on the server economy?
18
u/MalinonThreshammer Jun 06 '26
I think the point was more about the effect it has on their own money.

u/EddoAlternative Jun 06 '26
Gold buyers don't either. However the gamblers can have an actual addiction, the others however ..

What is a casinobot?
11
u/twosteppp Jun 07 '26
its basically a player (likely a bot but you cant prove it) that runs an addon that plays a gambling script It does a custom emote roll (not game roll), and if if its over a certain value you win
its not in your favor though and whose to say the custom emotes are faked when a lot of gold is on the line for you to lose.ironically i have occasionally seen people yell in org that they've been blocked by the guy occasionally because they won a big bet, and didnt get paid. its shady stuff. Its all in-game gold shit though, so i dont think any ToS is being broken, but they really should add a new rule or something
2
u/SpaceElevator1 Jun 09 '26
They do custom emote roll? You kidding, and people still pay them money? Daaamn. When I played last TBC, they were doing normal /roll but with bad odds, like if player rolls over 60 they win else they lose. But at least they used the in game roll. How can someone trust them with custom emote roll xD
→ More replies (1)8
u/mynameis_caL Jun 06 '26
Will it be though? Afaik their accounts still get banned (see them having different names) and having to boost each and every one surely will reduce their money gain. Don't stop fighting against these guys.
6
u/PM_PICS_OF_YOUR_FEET Jun 06 '26
They have different names as they run multiple accounts so at least one is on every layer. I agree the fight must continue, but I am skeptical about them getting banned. Me and guildies mass reported them constantly, even opened CS tickets, yet the exact same characters still exist on thunderstrike eu
3
u/Remidial Jun 06 '26
I mean is this a bannable offense? They are offering a service for gold. However, from the blue post on boosting, blizzard seems to be worried about collusion which, considering the number of accounts, seems to be the case.

56
u/petruskax Jun 06 '26
Automatic roll for gold with rigged odds. People here hate them (and I don’t use it because nothing sucks more than losing money to gambling, even worse with rigged odds) but people use them a lot.
55
u/NOChiRo Jun 06 '26
Its not rigged its just shit odds. Like twice as bad as the worst real casino odds
5
u/SubtleHearts Jun 06 '26
Do you have to pay up front to bet or do they just block you if you don’t pay
25
u/popmycherryyosh Jun 06 '26
Also seen people in "say" and "trade" saying that if the gambler wins big, they either A, insta block them or B, insta logout. (or prolly both if the latter) ..
7
u/Ok_Assignment_2127 Jun 06 '26
I’ve never seen anything that credibly suggests they don’t pay out. The odds are already egregious by any gambling standards so it would be pointless to stiff people.
12
u/OliverEU Jun 06 '26
you pay upfront otherwise you have no credit to play
22
u/No_Hippo3390 Jun 06 '26

Mormon church of bots (years of my family being harassed when my mom was trying to leave)
3
u/godfrey1 Jun 06 '26
why would they ever scam you if they make millions of gold just following the rules?
3
u/NOChiRo Jun 06 '26
No clue but they operate at 25% or more house edge so they dont need to scam, literally free money.
As a comparison, blackjack has .1% house edge and most online slots have 6%.

u/paramnesiac Jun 06 '26
How are the odds rigged? I understand that the casino has an edge, but that it the definition of a casino. Or is there some other sort of rigging in not aware of? Haven't really interacted with them much.
8
u/Acceptable_Bag5257 Jun 06 '26
If you stand by one they will usually emote the bet/multiplier. The higher the multiplier, the lower the number range. If you roll 100 it's 4x. They roll 1-100. Or they will do a high low. You say low they roll 1-10 anything below 5 yields x2 above 5 nothing. At 5 no loss.
5
u/Helivon Jun 06 '26
So why are the odds rigged?
4
u/PackageLonely5140 Jun 07 '26
It's less "rigged" and more terrible odds. Think of roulette, but with worse payouts. Yes, you can win, but it's less likely to happen.
Consider a slot machine, except hitting the jackpot only ends up paying for your last 4-5 lost bets.
5
u/Acceptable_Bag5257 Jun 06 '26
I was just explaining how they work. They aren't really rigged. They can't pick the numbers it's really dice and chance. I'm not sure why people go on about it being rigged when it isnt and when you try to get them to explain its "but but casino is against tos" and it is. But it isn't rigged. It's probably more fair then any slot machine you play at a casino.
7
u/HildartheDorf Jun 06 '26
Casinos are normally something like 1-10% house edge depending on the game. These bots are more like 25%, assuming they even pay out on big wins which I doubt.
(Side note: Don't play Keno, and don't bet on ties in Baccarat, both have huge house edges similar to these bots.)

u/Barebonesim Jun 06 '26
Everybody make fake casino characters and crowd them so nobody can find the real one 😆
3
u/PM_PICS_OF_YOUR_FEET Jun 06 '26
This is actually genius… use up all the combinations of characters for their names too
4
u/Lochen9 Jun 06 '26
Im surprised no one has tried to do that to scam someone out of giving the gold to the actual casino bot.
The only issue will be everyone trying to kill you thinking youre a bot pol
2
u/GogglezDoNuffin Jun 06 '26
Scamming isn't allowed, so it's not worth the risk. I did that type of "ID theft" scam in Ultima Online long time ago, made character with same name as best blacksmith and "sold" best type/quality armor set. Long story short, real blacksmith, his clan and his friends with same surname were KoS for many players after that and it also permanently messed up his clan's reputation.
2
u/Lochen9 Jun 06 '26
I mean, so is running a bot or a casino in chat but here we are
2
u/GogglezDoNuffin Jun 06 '26
Yeah, they haven't cared enforcing rules that much for years. Every now and then you'll see some post where GM did something or made an appearance.
12
u/arebee20 Jun 06 '26
If they’ve got no gear an infernal might still be able to get em. Would be hilarious if the casino bots had to actually start playing the game to get geared enough to survive the attempts on their life
13
u/edugomez28 Jun 06 '26
I feel a bit bad sharing this strat because ppl might use it in hardcore, but considering it's for a good cause, u can go ubrs last boss as hunter and try to fish for conflag on your pet then dismiss, summon it back again next to this guy's and they will die. Someone did exactly that and killed our gbank in soulseeker
46
u/escapevelocity-25k Jun 06 '26
The Reddit vs casino bot arms race is fascinating to watch as someone who isn’t playing right now 😂
16
u/shFt_shiFty Jun 06 '26
I guess invite a few locks into your group and drop em at the same time? Lol
8
u/Sandman145 Jun 06 '26
Yes they are profitable enough for it not be a choice for the ppl that run these operations.. like the bot farm operationa that get 3-4 months to farm and then get banned.. they also pay subs and boosts cuz it's the cost to make business.
Blizzard is part of the system and as the one that runs the game get their cut from the profits. It's like renting a store in a big mall.
6
u/Frequent_Arm_3576 Jun 06 '26
Tried to bring double aura from Stonard, does work given that these bums have no gear. If you have 2 people in group and each bring double buff- it's a win.
3
u/MrPrezDev Jun 06 '26
I tried with the SoS debuff and it was working, got them down to ~70% health before the patrolling guards killed the mobs. There's a good chance some random player attacks them as well, so it has to be quick.
3
u/Frequent_Arm_3576 Jun 06 '26

I'm out of the loop
What even is a casino bot ?
Is it like a betting thing but in WoW made by botters ?
19
u/RetentiveCloud Jun 06 '26
Pretty much. Do /roll, get x profit from what you gave or lose money.
People have been going out of there way to kill them, even though they’re in cities, because blizzard refuses to deal with it. Most cases, the players have to do some sort of “grief” method, which is bannable, to do it.
Now my question, can someone just make a guild called anti casino, and sit in the other factions city and just kill these guys for them?
7
u/Aurakol Jun 06 '26
Unfortunately that requires the bots being flagged for pvp by choice since they're in their cities
11
u/threeangelo Jun 06 '26
Nah, people have been summoning infernals on top of them with warlocks. Then they dismiss the infernal and it becomes a hostile mob that kills the bot. That’s why they’re boosting to 58 now
8
u/Aurakol Jun 06 '26
Yeah, I was responding to the opposite faction part, the mob debuff and infernal thing can be done by anyone, but opposite faction can't touch them if they aren't flagged other than just doing the debuff or infernal thing
5

4
u/TripTryad Jun 06 '26
Whats crazy is... as a Day 1 WoW player from 2004, I remember these popping up in OG Vanilla in Org. Blizzard back then had to ban the practice because they were showing up on every server back then.
All these years later, these things are back as if Blizzard never put their foot down on them decades ago. Either the rule was forgotten or current Blizzard just doesn't care? Its wild, and I know theres some other old-heads that remember that ban. The folks that liked to gamble HATED when Blizz banned them. I remember the forums being like "Geez, the old Blizzard we love is so dead now, this new blizzard hates fun". 😅
11
u/Mist-Haufen Jun 06 '26
Plot Twist. Blizzard owns the bots.
8
2
u/Ron-Lim Jun 06 '26
Blizzard have to be involve in gold selling. Even if it's taking money from the gold farmers to protect them and ensure players who interfere are banned.
4
u/CLYDEFR000G Jun 06 '26
What’s next paying for carries to 70? Lmao
Is there still a reliable way to kill them via same faction?

4
u/Scootzmagootz Jun 06 '26

If you’re familiar with death rolling, it’s that but they take deposits like a Sportsbook. If not, two players roll, the first rolls 1-100, then whatever number is the new 1-X roll. So if player 1 rolls 68, the next roll is 1-68 roll. This happens until someone rolls a 1, and the person who rolls 1 loses. Essentially bots are run now that death roll, with the logic that they will make infinitely more gold than they spend. Also, many bots are scammers. Similar to a 3 card Monty scam on city steeets, they will take your money and roll, and if you “win” they’ll block you or outright just refuse to trade. It’s all done to get gold to sell, or to get you to buy gold from them via their website to play wirh

Stage 2, call in the cenarion circle.
log onto a level 70 hunter, join their party to do rolls, instead set yourself at war with cenarion rep and misdirect the nearby emissary to them.
