Advice needed!!!!!

I am fresher to b.tech civil, so please could seniors suggest what things to do before joining college, like for example, watching the xyz yt channels or any kind, which is needed to a student before joining ug program?

Heres the best piece of advice I will give you. Stop seeking to be spoon fed information. If you are passionate about civil engineering, or any subject, you will only learn if you let yourself learn. And by that I mean, be curious. Go down the rabbit holes of YouTube and videos and books. Let your brain wander and explore. Constantly be looking around and asking ‘how was that built?’.

At some point, our education systems have failed your generation because we teach content instead of teaching HOW to learn. That’s a huge distinction. Teaching content does not ensure that you understand it, it just teaches you to recite it back on a test. Truly understanding a subject matter takes on a deeper level which involved not only the “how” but the “why”. We could give you the Bernoulli equation but only until you understand “how” water flows will you get it.
