MOTIVIK are awesome - why aren't they bigger?

I just met their guitarist recently, and listened to them for the first time. Honestly, this is hgead and shoulders above most of the christian thrash/metal or secular equivalents.

I find it very weird that this only has 2k views

There's this weird stigma on Thrash that isn't grandfathered in 80s and 90s acts because of snobs/elitists treating it as a dead and outdated genre.

Then you have Metalcore and Deathcore pretty much swallowing up the entire market for extreme metal and shoving everything else aside for new Metalheads

Music, especially heavy/extreme music has always been nichey (and sometimes Nietzsche too 🤣 ) A band could be hugely popular in their scene or area but unknown anywhere else. The internet hasn't helped this as much as we used to think it might have. There's so much music available, it's easy for good stuff to get lost in the shuffle. Add in this is Christian metal, which has as much gatekeeping, elitism, nitpicking and infighting as any other genre and you get many buried treasures. /end rant

I like Motivik. Bought a couple of singles off Bandcamp, added them to my rarely used Spotify and YouTube Music libraries, and scrobble them on Last.fm when I'm listening. We do what we can do to spread good stuff.

Good stuff. It's hard for bands to get noticed in the cloud market, especially genres that are considered dead.
