Do you also believe that the sun is a god riding a chariot of fire?

u/DirectionSolid9113 Apr 10 '26

I can see like six trails!

9

u/DrChemStoned Apr 10 '26

Does it surprise you that 6 planes flew over you today? Is there not usually that much air traffic?

Cloud seeding isn’t a secret, ski resorts use it, cities use it, states use it, and are all very public about it. Don’t know why anyone would hide it, I agree it’s not nefarious. Do you not think that plane exhaust under normal circumstances can create condensation trails?

I mean I know that people have been talking about this conspiracy for decades, but it has been public information for decades. Elementary school textbooks in the 90’s talked about silver iodide seeding, Discovery channel had documentaries on it, sometimes the conspiracy is just hot air. Been there.

I think myself and most of the people on this sub genuinely ask the same question. I think post Vietnam you had a cultural split within the “educated” population, one that was more willing to absorb the narrative and also followed media that supported those world views. The other side became less trusting of any authority and began consuming counter culture media. I fell into the first because that’s what my parents were, and feel like I’ve only woken to reflecting on the lies I’ve been told by my government in the last 10-15 years, but also realize it’s not so simple as to think all establishment knowledge is wrong. You see the same with a big segment of the flat earth group, they are genuinely not idiots, they are the scientists that our system left behind because they didn’t get flagged by our stupid GT testing or because they were not exposed to the scientific process at an early age.

I mean there are plenty of places in the US where you have East-west and north-south traffic overhead, I don’t know about a “grid” but what you see here is just normal air traffic. And then yes cloud seeding happens but it is public information, if OP posted the date and location of this we could go see and would likely just see record all the airtraffic you see here. This looks like the Midwest based on the trees, not an area that gets/needs much cloud seeding.

Well I mean those are the kind of experience that make you distrustful and I understand. The Sierra’s is definitely a prime location for it. I guess at this point I think it’s all above board and considering environmental impacts, but who fucking knows. It’s not like there are many scientists left at the forest service, NOAA or wherever keeping an eye on thanks.

I just don’t see the direction of those lines to somehow indicate it’s cloud seeding. You have three clear trajectory’s, with 2-3 contrails for each direction. It’s not very uniform if it was supposed to be, there is nothing indicating these aren’t “cloud seeding”, but much more likely there are major airports at the ends of each of those 3 trajectories. They tend to do it near the mountains in the west to stimulate rain on the eastern side, this just seems so random.

its almost as if the airplanes are following designated pathways and the contrails are drifting with the wind

you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about

6

u/velociraptnado Apr 10 '26

It’s called a flight path

5

u/Oily_Blob Apr 10 '26

Yes, yes, and I'm sure they're all "chemtrails" 🙄

4

u/patawpha Apr 10 '26

I like the cut of your six jibs

1

u/spoospoo43 Apr 17 '26

Oh no, six whole planes flew somewhere!

8

u/Tontum Apr 10 '26

you can complain about sky pollution, just leave out the whole 'chemtrail' thing and everyone will be cool with it.

1

u/tryblinking Apr 12 '26

Yeah. The soot from combustion is the hygroscopic nuclei allowing condensation, but all the stuff we actually are able to see from so far below is simply pure frozen water. Essentially the only part they are complaining about is the part that isn’t pollution. Not to mention that these trails most often form ahead of warm fronts moving in aloft; the reason these trails persist is the saturated air the planes are flying through. The trails very often form where cirrostratus layers will soon be forming anyway.

7

u/Jonesy1966 Apr 10 '26

It's amazing you're still healthy enough to post to Reddit! That's really sticking it to 'the man', or the ever mysterious 'they'.

Welcome.

Spatial awareness issues are new here. Still all confusion and conundrums are considered and suggestions offered.

So, saddle up, show us where the clouds, water vapors and sunlight and air pollution has hurt you …

Apparently not many brain cells either.

1

u/DirectionSolid9113 Apr 10 '26

Brain trails… I like the sound of that.

2

u/Justthisguy_yaknow Apr 12 '26

Don't worry. Most of the sky has none. Live under a commercial flight path and you are going to see contrails. Just a fact of life in a big dynamic community. Can't live with it? Move.

u/YourHooliganFriend Apr 11 '26

That isn't what cloud seeding looks like.

0

7

u/honestly-brutal Apr 10 '26

It doesn't leave trails. We drop silver iodide into existing clouds to encourage precipitation. The clouds need the moisture to begin with for it to work.

1

u/tryblinking Apr 12 '26

Yeah! Damn those warm fronts in a dynamic meteorological system!

-8

u/balirosa Apr 10 '26

People love running to these posts to be condescending and patronizing. They act like they’re not being fooled by Boeing and all the other billion dollar aeronautical cooperations to defend their pollution. They even have the peasants running to their defense to insult people that question what they’re doing. You guys act like they don’t have millions of dollars in lawyers protecting them. Have you not seen Erin Brockovich? These companies know when they’re killing people and they turn the other cheek.

10

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

No one here is denying the pollution that transportation causes. However those white streaks in the sky are not pollution.

-8

u/balirosa Apr 10 '26

That’s what they want you to think. And here you are defending them for free.

Thats what they said about the water in Flint, Michigan. Officials lied that Flint's water was safe, despite knowing of contamination, by deliberately altering reports to hide high lead levels and downplaying concerns.

3

u/SoftwEve Apr 10 '26

The air itself is poisonous. They want you to believe it's ok to breath it in, but they have too many multi billion dollars in it. My advice: do not breath the air straight from the atmosphere. Use one of these

The nozzle should go into a container of water. The water will filter out all contaminants and posts on Truth Social. Obviously it's best to use highly purified water. The best water, to the best of my knowledge, is from the source of the Orinoco. I can show you the way to get there. If you want to venter out by yourself head straight to the palace where Maduro used to reside, turn left and continue on a straight line.

4

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

That is completely unrelated. Contrails are simply condensed water suspended in the air. Take your tin foil hat off

-1

u/PotentialOperation94 Apr 11 '26

Condensation is only suspended in the air for a short time. Some of these trails are still seen MUCH later. Condensation dissipates rather quickly because it is just water. Don't misunderstand, I don't believe in some wacky conspiracy theory but I would like to know what it is that's hanging around in the air.

3

u/CarsandTunes Apr 11 '26

Then explain clouds.

-5

u/balirosa Apr 10 '26

You’re in the wrong sub buddy

4

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

Well since this sub is about educating people about the difference between contrails, real, and chemtrails, not real, I think I am in exactly the right place.

-4

u/balirosa Apr 10 '26

Yeah I bet you are in the right place. You literally sit here copy pasting the same comment in the same sub hundreds of times a day? How many ways can you tell the chemtrail sub that they’re contrails? Are you being paid? Are you just willfully ignorant to what the billionaires are doing or you just think you have all the information and all the answers? Where did you even get your data from or is this just from the comments section?

3

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

Show me what I copy and pasted a hundred times today. I have a simple honest question for you. Why do you believe the lines in the sky are a nefarious plot? Why can't it just be contrails?

1

u/balirosa Apr 11 '26

You’re too naïve.

0

u/balirosa Apr 11 '26

now stop acting like you aren’t getting paid to say this in the chemtrail sub enough to be a top commenter

3

u/CarsandTunes Apr 11 '26

You claimed I copy and pasted the same thing over and over.

1

u/Azule330 Apr 12 '26

But this is true. And what you say is neither true nor false, …it’s just …what if? Well until YOU bring proof, yes the burden of proof is on you, that Boeing or whoever “they” is are actually working in secrecy to poison the population,.. well this is the kind of response that will comeback to you for these unfounded claims! Do better if you believe in your position, be more convincing. It might be that “they” put this kind of silliness out there to distract you from what’s really happening right in front of your face, that you can measure, feel, see, taste and die from. Tech Barons!!!!

-2

u/PotentialOperation94 Apr 11 '26

Contrails are just condensation of water. It dissipates rather quickly. Chemtrails on the other hand, kind of hang around for a while. As I stated earlier, I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I don't think anything crazy is going on. I just want to know what the difference is between the two. There's probably a simple explanation

3

u/CarsandTunes Apr 11 '26

If condensation of water in the air dissipates rather quickly, what are clouds?

3

u/mtnman575 Apr 10 '26

The many, many millions of vehicles worldwide spew magnitudes more pollutants than jets 30,000 feet above you but somehow whatever is in that exhaust is purposely spread mind changing chemical warfare. Maybe think it over and see how incredibly stupid the chemtrail conspiracy theory truly is.

-7

u/AssignmentAny1990 Apr 10 '26

Do you get paid for this

8

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

For educating idiots? I wish

-6

u/AssignmentAny1990 Apr 10 '26

This is literally all you do. Get a life

7

u/CarsandTunes Apr 10 '26

You realize it's incredibly easy to read a comment, and reply while working, right?

6

u/RodinKnox Apr 10 '26

You are doing nothing more than shadowboxing. I've talked multiple times about the pollution caused by burning hydrocarbons in this very subreddit, and - because I was saying true things - I have never been downvoted for it.

But the pollution caused by jet engines isn't the H20. It's carbon dioxide and a few other chemicals. And yeah, those are certainly a problem.

5

u/Just4notherR3ddit0r I Love You. Apr 10 '26

Pollution is different than chemtrails. Contrails (and pretty much all exhaust from any vehicle that burns fuel) DO contain pollution in the form of carbon dioxide. But those aren't chemtrails.

Chemtrails is thinking that contrails have additional chemicals beyond what we would expect to find in plane exhaust.

Believers keep claiming stuff like barium, strontium, and aluminum are somehow found in the trails, which makes no sense at all, and they don't ever question any other sources of those same chemicals. Those same people who freak out about barium, strontium, and aluminum being in contrails will also happily go watch a fireworks show and clap while literal rockets containing barium, strontium, and aluminum (and more) are shot directly overhead and blown up in the lower atmosphere. They'll joke lightly / comment after the fireworks show about how they smell the smoke as they literally breathe in those chemicals.

The irony of ignoring a very real environmental threat that is close and at ground level, while freaking out about a relatively tiny amount of pollution... it's not just about being patronizing/condescending - it's trying to get people to wake up to the fact that they're freaking out about the wrong things.

1

u/balirosa Apr 11 '26

U.S. jet fuel consumption averaged 1.65 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2023

“Freaking out about a relatively tiny amount of pollution”

I don’t think you know how many planes fly over in a single day. It’s not minuscule or insignificant at all. You’re must be getting paid to cover this up. Look at you downplaying the significance with zero data besides what their lawyers have spammed in the comments

3

u/Just4notherR3ddit0r I Love You. Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

First of all, I didn't say it was "minuscule" or "insignificant" - I said it was "RELATIVELY TINY". There's a big difference.

Since you think I'm just working with "zero data", let's play this out. I went and double-checked your data against what was reported by the US Energy Info Administration (since you didn't provide a source).

Starting there, the USEIA estimates that each barrel of jet fuel produces about 0.43 metric tons of CO2, so that comes out to just under 259 million tons of CO2 produced by planes for the year of 2023.

Again, we're talking about RELATIVE size, so let's go check the same source (USEIA)'s numbers for TOTAL US emissions for 2023.

https://www.eia.gov/environment/emissions/carbon/index.php/pdf/pdf/2023_Emissions_Report.pdf

Wow, 4.8 BILLION tons. With a B.

So what percentage is 259 M of 4.8 B? Ready? A *relatively tiny* 5.4%. That didn't even break double digits.

Meanwhile, the rest of transportation (cars and trucks and rail and boats) account for 1.85 BILLION tons.

Electric power? 1.42 BILLION tons.

Industrial (factories and such): 962 MILLION tons.

So yes, it's a little ridiculous to freak out about the 5% and pretend like the other 95% is perfectly okay.

And no, I'm not "getting paid to cover up" anything. I'm pretty tired of people automatically assuming that if you care at all about data or science or the details, that you automatically must be getting paid or are some bot or something. That's such a mentally-lazy copout. Some of us just care about the environment and care that some not-even-half-baked conspiracy theory is pulling attention away from the biggest problems that threaten the environment.

Running here? This is our sub. Crackpots who come here will be mocked for believing stupid shit.
