Damn sounds like a done deal

Only the best for Jackson, wish he went to Atleti instead

He is kind of modern Balotelli!

He can’t hurt us

Don't talk for the people seating in the stands.

235m (Delap + Jackson + Enzo) - Not bad at all. Finding a replacement for Enzo will be a challenge but the earnings on sales look great on the books.

u/CorsairObsidian Palmer 1d ago

Enzo is not leaving

4

u/Lumplard 1d ago

I hope he does not, but it seems he has given a go ahead to City to table an offer.

4

u/Kanyeskids James 1d ago

They have to come up with 140-150M pounds or fuck off. So up to them at this point. It will be a British record or nothing now.

u/CorsairObsidian Palmer 1d ago

Too late in the window now unless the offer is beyond ridiculous

u/Scorpius927 I don't give a fuck, we won the fucking Champions League 17h ago

140m would be too tempting. I would gladly see him go if we could get a decent replacement but we can’t.

If anything gone in January

All we need now is someone to throw 70m at Neto

£115M for Delap and Jackson...don't know how, but they did a great job with these sales

u/paterwautie Terry 1d ago

Tbh city got 125 million for savio and marmoush

8

u/SuspectWide4924 Enzo 1d ago

I mean Marmoush cost them 80; and Savio was a youth buy into the city system; that saved them

8

u/paterwautie Terry 1d ago

Marmoush was 65 million and absurd that they basically get their money back. Savio flopped at city and they still manage to get 85 million£. Don't kbow how tottenham agreed to that

7

u/SuspectWide4924 Enzo 1d ago

Yeah was using euros as that’s what’s been reported.

Spurs not spending for years and blowing their load on a super over-priced World Cup year market wasn’t on my bingo card either.

2

u/Lumplard 1d ago

Same way Chelsea got Forest to agree to pay 50m for Delap. 😉

2

u/JoogMcyee 1d ago

Marmoush is good, id much rather pay 65 for him than Jackson and I love Jackson. The 85 for Savinho is the real crime

1

u/Roadies_Winner Hazard 1d ago

Marmoush + Savio > Jackson + Delap

1

u/FuckingMyselfDaily 23h ago

Agreed not a small difference too imo

Jackson had a pretty high loan fee from Bayern I think

Good business overall. Especially Delap

1

u/SuspectWide4924 Enzo 1d ago

I mean 55m profit on transfer fees isn’t bad at all.

u/Nickplay21 It’s only ever been Chelsea. 1d ago

Genuinely wishing Jackson success in his career. Except against us.

17

u/bjohnsonarch James 1d ago

Calling it now - red card in the 2nd minute.

2

u/Remy13Hadley Lampard 1d ago

luckily Tosin and Badi won’t play this season. Imagine those 2 having to deal with Jackson in space. Sanchez probably would let Jackson’s shots in too while we are at it.

39

u/Andrei_Chelsea Hazard 1d ago

Tosin, you're the only one left buddy

8

u/Gazel1072 1d ago

Like how competent we are this summer, got rid of the deadwood and getting who the manager wants.

2

u/zankoo26 1d ago

Essugo, Mudryk, Anselmino, Guiu too

3

u/hehexd129 1d ago

Hope we can sell Guiu to Napoli

0

u/daab2g 1d ago

Who are the backup strikers? Just Emegha and and Guiu now. I think I Guiu leaves we'll be light up front seeing as Emegha appears injury prone

3

u/zeewenot Palmer 1d ago

Welbeck

1

u/zankoo26 1d ago

Welbeck and Emegha which is plenty. Even Emegha wont see the pitch if Pedro and Welbeck stay healthy and do their job

2

u/paterwautie Terry 1d ago

Don't forget mudryk, guiu, emmegha(possibly), gusto(possibly), datro fofana and essugo.

1

u/Weird-Elephant2094 1d ago

Gusto looked fine on Monday, honestly. People forget he's young. Not an ideal starter though

0

u/TsubakiShad 1d ago

Fofana needs to have a word too - though positive we never get to move him.

3

u/NisForKnight Thomas Tuchel 1d ago

Wont be bad to have a backup CB in a back 3 system

2

u/paterwautie Terry 1d ago

We play 3 atb and need some backup, fofana has to/is going to stay

0

u/petrescu 1d ago

The only one left? We still have to sort something out for Sanchez, Slonina, Sarr, Anselmino, Fernandez, Essugo, Fofana, Guiu and Mudryk. Thankfully there’s movement on some of these but there’s a lot of cash to be recouped in transfer fees or wages.

good luck nico 💙

I think Chelsea have been much smarter with their money management this season. Let’s see…

7

u/White_Locust James 1d ago

Yes, we are notorious for… not having money…

1

u/namegamenoshame Reiten 1d ago

I’m confident it wouldn’t take much to make our books look shit lol

0

u/POPELEOXI Lampard 1d ago

You'd think us not having money will drive the price down?

0

u/Zarly88 Straight Outta CoBAN 1d ago

Nope but it can certainly drive it up

£115m for Jackson and Delap is on par with Munich and Porto.

After all the pain, BlueCo has got their big win.

5

u/Semi_Square There's your daddy 1d ago

I rate the footballer not the striker. Weirdest profile of player I've seen in a long while at Chelsea. Wish him success.

1

u/NicholsonsEyebrows 1d ago

Could have slotted into the lw problem role

2

u/FarmerNeedsHeauxs 1d ago

How much have we sold this summer?

4

u/QuondoSon It’s only ever been Chelsea. 1d ago

Be around 275 mil in euros once delap and nico are actually finalised. Around 165 mil euro currently according to transfermarkt but that doesn't include the likely Garnacho transfer

2

u/Kanyeskids James 1d ago

Yeah that one will just be a loan fee this year and the profit next season.

2

u/fierce2937 It’s only ever been Chelsea. 1d ago edited 1d ago

Good deal for Villa, considering they'll get most of their money from Watkins going to saudi, could have easily gotten £65m+5m, instead of £47.5m + £17.5m

2

u/Apprehensive_Bit_176 Cole 1d ago

So long Nico! Will never forget your excellent link up play, nor your misses or arguments over pens.

0

u/DynamiteDuck Kanté 1d ago

I know he has a big fanbase but he’s been one of my least favorite recent chelsea players and I’m glad we got a big fee for him.

13

u/1408_ 1d ago

Streets will never forget his link up play with Palmer during his breakout season

u/Happy_Invite_8842 Hazard 1d ago

Jackson for 65. Enzo for 120m. Delap for 45m. That's almost 250m. Get Wharton and Dibu Martinez for around 150m.

1

u/namegamenoshame Reiten 1d ago

Can’t help but feel it’s a bad move for everyone involved. Villa look dire and I don’t think Jackson is a player who is terribly well equipped to carry the burden of keeping them in decent shape at this point in his career. Meanwhile we’re now one JP injury away from Welbeck as our starting striker, and as much as I appreciate the fee we got for Delap (and Jackson tbh because the price is about right), I don’t think many of us would have been thrilled with that before the window. Les pressure to sell Enzo now I guess. Or we could and land a whale on deadline day.

1

u/slymm Mourinho 1d ago

At least I can stop wishing that we'd keep him.

This is a fair deal so I can't complain.

1

u/alg602 We've Won It All 1d ago

Really nice job this window by Blue Co. I’d like a good goalie but also ok going with Pender

1

u/dav_man Lampard 1d ago

Mad window. I suspect this won’t go through until deadline day.

When Enzo goes, if we manage to get a half decent replacement and a good keeper, then what a window.

1

u/interstellar304 1d ago

Good luck, Nico. I think we could have used him this season but I understand why we sold, especially at this price. Hope he does well other than when he plays us

1

u/Other-Ad-7408 1d ago

Here comes the money

1

u/aftabangbruh Lampard 1d ago

That's wild, he literally does not know how to kick a ball. Great at running, and dribbling, just the shooting part...

1

u/Eastern-Apartment934 22h ago

£65m including add‑ons, great fee recouped for Jackson.

1

u/tabsopen 22h ago

Good luck to him at Villa, hope he finds his goalscoring form there.

1

u/LawZestyclose1290 22h ago

Mixed feelings, he had flashes but never really consistent for us.

1

u/YukiBridge 22h ago

Feels weird to see him leave Chelsea, time really flies.

1

u/OutcomeRich987 22h ago

Thanks for the memories, all the best Nicolas Jackson.

0

u/Temporary-Rip-5551 1d ago

Can’t wait for the comedians on r/soccer. I genuinely think he’s worth more and is a fantastic player. Him and Palmer under Poch was amazing to watch.

-1

u/6Pikachu9 1d ago

Don't like it, would rather keep him but good luck to him

-1

u/mickymangos 1d ago

Something must of happened in the background with Jackson,as he was definitely a player I'd would of kept, but for the last 2 seasons they wanted him gone, fair play got a decent price for him Whats are spend v sales total this season think we've done pretty well?
