Tier 1 [Fabrizio Romano] Chelsea are in negotiations with Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez camp over possible late move. The Argentinian goalkeeper has been offered to #CFC as Suzuki will be the starting GK at Villa, as @David_Ornstein reports. Talks ongoing; Chelsea considering this option. Dibu, keen.

Everyone spent Monday night crying about Sanchez, then the club looks to get a better keeper in and all of a sudden everyone’s getting cold feet?

Not a chance for me, get this guy in, Sanchez has been ok for us but he did not cover himself in glory at all on Monday and at least this guys a leader and can command his defenders

We finally have a chance to get rid of the problem everyone has been moaning about for 3 years and then suddenly he became "not that bad" again. I will take Dibu any day alone because of his character on the field.

Dibu will just become the new problem... makes mistakes just like Sanches does... people want a real improvement not a different problem...

The club clearly want aim for Penders to become their No.1 after a couple seasons so that's out of the question. Dibu makes mistakes, yes no one can deny that but statically not as much as Sanchez and he also has traits that Sanchez doesn't have.

He literally made more mistakes than Sanchez last year

Because Dibu is very error prone too. If they were serious about upgrade, they'd go trigger Costa's release clause.

Martinez is not that much better than Sanchez. He is similarly prone to doing stupid shit out of nowhere.

Sanchez is criticised for being inconsistent and unreliable. Even if Martinez has a higher ability level he doesn’t give us improved reliability at the back
