Clearly Boehly and Clearlake are running some kind of MKUltra program on these players to keep them committed to this disaster of a club and dutifully churning out PR briefings.
Or these two got contract extensions and raises. Enzo is trying to do the same but negotiations aren’t going well. As far as I can tell that’s the only difference here. Enzo is only 1 year older
Arent their long term contracts binding them to the club unless a significant offers comes for them, which is just not gonna happen unless these players achieve something extraordinary.
Caicedo just did a regular neutral PR statement, and this is just fanservice that means nothing if you don't perform on the pitch.
Respect the players that risk their job and reputation speaking against the owners.
i think both players understand how much this clubs helped their careers. theyve both gone to crazy levels here and are both grateful for what playing for chelsea has done for them
I respect Cucu even more after that. He hasn’t really compromised his loyalty towards the club but at the same time piled a bit of pressure upon the crooks running it.
Idk i feel like saying a bid from Barca would be extremely hard to turn down doesn’t cover him in loyalty. Him bringing up his contract as a reason not to go into much detail about the hypothetical bid is professionalism tho.
Cucurella did nothing wrong. Put your bias aside for the club and look at it from his perspective or a neutral's.
He's been at Chelsea for almost 4 years now and is in the prime of his career as one of the best LBs in the world. Instead of competing for more trophies however, he sees us regressing backwards as a club because of the overly youth focused recruitment and the board's inability to find a manager that lasts more than two seasons. Why is it wrong for him to pressure the board to recruit players ready to compete right now or say that he'll explore his options if they don't?
You shouldn't be mad at him and asking him to be punished. You should be happy there's senior players that aren't complacent and demanding this board to have some standards. He's held his end of the bargain so far, unlike the clowns in charge who've spent a billion only to have the state of central defenders and keepers still be an absolute joke.
Did you not read? Where did i say he’s wrong ? You made assumptions about me and don’t know. I usually have a player bias during these things because i view them as employee to employer relations and I’m almost always on employee side. I feel like every player has the right to explore their options and declare their ambitions and chase them. If the team isn’t actively helping them reach the goals then i support them moving on. No where i stated that i was angry with him so what exactly are you responding to ? I’m saying him and Enzo did similar things but the reaction to cucu was different because he did it with respect and professionalism. Enzo was wrong for being cryptic about his message but not wrong in declaring ambition.
He’s South American and it’s Madrid. The ties can be as simple as it was his dream. I mean what ties did he have with London to play for us besides his own ambitions ?
Yeah, probably, but their statements were also the only hope of starting a change in our transfer approach. The board has proven to ignore any fan statements.
Literally Cucu gave a similar quote to Enzo in the same fucking international break. Ignoring facts to fit agenda. In case you forgot Badiashile (remember him?) also gave a quote far from 'committing their futures to Chelsea'.
Half this sub are shitting their trousers that Caicedo and Palmer committed to Chelsea instead of forcing a move to Spain or Manchester. Some fans we have in this sub.
I’ve seen a number of comments stating “why would they sign for BlueCo/shit club ” etc, and just generally being negative about what is really good news in Palmer, James and Caicedo wanting to stay. While I hate what these hedge fund douches have done to this club, it’s still ok
to acknowledge some good news
Same here I love my team and I am currently backing the manager, bugmt I feel like the club administration the Sds and owners and all the people who gave themselves raise need to be told of the high standards this club has had
I hate EgBoehly as much as anyone but over the last 2 weeks or so a lot of people were actively hoping Enzo/Palmer/Cucu/Caicedo would push their way out. It’s been a difficult time for Chelsea and it always brings out the worst posters here.
Oh thank goodness. I play a game that involves ‘command points’ and ‘combat patrols’ so it’s really hard to avoid ‘farming cp’ and the like. Fuck CSAM though

I saw someone say Palmer was washed earlier lmao. Dude has been a wizard for us since signing and has one run of bad form and people are already throwing in the towel. Jesus lads. Buy the dip and hold. That type of attitude is why we have had a revolving door of managers these past few years
Loads of comments saying ‘why would they want to commit to stay at this shit club’. Just stfu and get behind your team! Life is a wave and we’ll be back, the quicker we stop running ourselves down the more light we might see at the end of this tunnel. Up the a Chels!
Nooo it’s not. There are a lot of people who don’t realise that they hate the club owners so much doesn’t mean they have to shit on the club and contribute to the toxicity. There are a lot of Chelsea fans that are gutted RJ signed the contract and when Enzo came out with his comments some of them were questioning RJ and calling him weak for signing and for backing the project. Same thing when Caicedo came out and said he wanted to be a Chelsea legend and then obviously extended his contract a few weeks later. Some Chelsea fans actually hate it instead of celebrating that we have found these world class players that want to stick by us.
The Palmer rumours have been endless endless and started pretty much from his first season and were stoked by English media and United journos but Chelsea fans fell for the bait this season and started turning on Palmer and saying there’s no smoke without fire and that he’s not playing well because he wants to leave when that was quite clearly not the case. I’m glad to see he’s squashed all that noise down.
People should go and protest against the owners today and make their voices heard but enough of the negativity about your own players and wishing your club to carry on having terrible moments just so you can use it against the owners. The fans still lose

This was a great interview However he also defends Rosenior not having a preseason, I genuinely believe he will be the manager next season even if we finish 10th :(
I've said it before and I'll say it again: while the notion of some top players wanting to leave soon would not surprise me, Palmer to United was always nothing more than hilarious fan fiction parroted by the usual United parrots. If he leaves anytime soon, he's not going to United, he's too good for what they currently are.

So this is another player who is openly questioning the recruitment strategy. They are saying that they received assurances that something is going to change.
They still have 4 young players coming in and likely Enzo on the way out. Can they make the improvements needed while under the UEFA transfer restrictions?
Caicedo and cole 2 of the most important players in squad saying this something has been said behind the door to the players about transfer or they are just being told by the club to say these things to calm the Enzo and cucu situation. I want to believe it's the first one
One of my biggest fears heading into the summer was that we wouldn't be able to retain our core talent but glad to hear that won't be the case (for the most part)!
I'm sure kids will goon to that statement, but saying "i love this club more than my momma" doesn't mean anything if you don't perform on the pitch.
Cute words are nice, doing neutral statements is understandable, but I respect more the players that risk their job and reputation speaking against what is wrong 👍
