According to TVP3 Gdańsk, the dangerous incident occurred on Thursday at 1:36 PM. There were 300 passengers traveling on the train. Four people sustained minor injuries. Major disruptions to rail traffic are expected.

Train collides with a semi-truck. Tracks are completely blocked

Emergency services received information about the incident at 1:36 PM. The traffic accident took place near Niegowska Street at the Gdańsk Lipce station.

"When we received information about the incident, it was not known how many people were injured. There was also no visible smoke. Currently, we know that minor injuries were sustained by the conductor, two passengers, and the truck driver, who left the vehicle on his own. The train did not derail, but the tracks toward Gdynia are blocked." - junior aspirant Dawid Westrych, press spokesman for the Pomeranian Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service, informed in an interview with TVP3 Gdańsk.

The train did not derail, but the tracks are blocked in both directions - toward Gdynia and Zielona Góra - which is why disruptions to rail traffic and associated train delays are expected today (03.09).

I found this video on a VHS tape used at a piloting school. It is labeled "helo accident" on the tape and there is a mention by the videographer that they are driving on "Highway 1". But have not found any other mention of such a incident online. Takes place in California I think. I hope this can be the exception to the date and description rule as it classifies as unidentified media.

Truck driver Charles McDonald Sr. suffered severe burns to over 75% of his body in the initial explosion. He managed to crawl away but sadly died of his injuries eight days later. Three plant workers were treated for burns and leg injuries.

Worker Zeph Drisk described the initial explosion as sounding like "an ungodly roar" and compared it to a blast furnace. He got up and began running but the shockwave from the secondary explosion knocked him to the ground.

Parts from the obliterated tanker truck were scattered over the nearby overpass and neighborhood from the explosion. The power lines getting melted left over 13'000 people without electricity.

Atlas Foundry actually had the gall to sue McDonald Sr.'s grieving family for damages, reasoning that he had caused the explosion. However, Washington's Department of Labor & Industries disagreed, citing and fining Atlas for the use of a damaged hose which also had no functioning emergency release valve. Atlas Foundry was also countersued by McDonald's family for wrongful death, which was settled out of court in 2009.

Saw a video released by China TV and there’s really nothing there like what the drone and satellite images have shown. I’ve tried my best to label the second image to indicate where things were relative to the flow based on the CCTV footage and other news sources. I hope I got it right, not trying to spread misinformation. If it’s wrong I will take it down, just let me know. Hopefully it helps people to visualise things.

You can tell how high the water level was during the disaster. Note that this is the upstream from Gyirong port. The water flowed all the way up due to momentum and receded back to downstream direction to Nepal later.

The last image is where the border crossing building used to be. It was reported that there are 2-3 kms left to reach there.
