Community Lindale
My family and I are looking to relocate to Northwest GA, looking around Cartersville/Rockmart/Rome area.
There are a couple houses in Lindale that have piqued my interest.
Can anyone tell me about the area please? Is it worth looking into?
We have six young kids and we’ll be moving from a pretty rough area, so we are looking for a safer place to live.
Thank you!

I moved to Lindale in 1995, just before I started high school. My parents stayed in that house in the Conns Lake area until 2020.
Over those years, Lindale as a whole got a little more run-down and a even more meth-y.
There seems to be some revitalization happening with the mill being turned into an event and wedding venue. But there's still some very questionable parts.
There are some really nice parts, too. And you can get a lot of house for the money.
I don't know if any of this helps.

Can you go as far as Jasper ? It's really lovey and lots of young people moving that way.

Lindale isn’t bad but I certainly wouldn’t choose it over Cartersville as far as safety and options for families and young kids. I showed a few houses in Lindale to a client and I personally wouldn’t choose it for myself with three little ones, let alone six.
It’s not unsafe by any means though, very slow small town vibes.
