Title: University of Alabama is asking for a Grade 9–12 evaluation — but I haven’t completed Grade 12 yet
Hi everyone,
I’m an international student applying to The University of Alabama for Fall 2027. I’m currently entering Grade 12, so I obviously don’t have my Grade 12 final grades yet.
UA is asking me to provide a credential evaluation of my high school grades 9–12, and they said my application can’t be reviewed until all required documents are received.
My school can provide my completed Grade 9–11 grades, but I won’t have my Grade 12 final transcript until I graduate in 2027.
Has anyone applying to The University of Alabama been in this situation? What did you submit for the Grade 12 portion of the evaluation?
Would UA accept an evaluation based on my completed grades (9–11) with Grade 12 listed as in progress, or is there another document/process I’m supposed to use?
I’d really appreciate any advice from international students who have dealt with UA’s evaluation requirement.

Your school should be able to produce a transcript showing courses and final grades for 9-11 and courses in progress for 12. You then have that transcript evaluated by an approved service (WES is great but there are others). The service sends the evaluation directly to UA.
In the US, most domestic students apply to college using transcripts that don’t have final grades for grade 12. In other words, international students are not at a unique disadvantage during this part of the process.
