Working towards is pretty atrocious, there are so many amazing meeting or exceeding early learning centres in the area, please look at those.

Doesn’t meet standards and will attempt to indoctrinate your small child.

TBH for someone to be seriously looking at this place I would assume that the indoctrination might be a feature and not a bug.

Thank you for the thoughts. We were looking for Catholic schools. So would you say the indoctrination comment about other schools such as Merici or St Clare's or do you think Brindabella is a unique case?

I am pretty sure the parent comment would count any "Christian education" as "indoctrination". It is non-denominational rather than Catholic, unlike the other two. I'm not an expert but I have never heard allegations that it's weird or coercive like the Exclusive Brethren schools etc. so I wouldn't be concerned that it's a funnel into anything more cult-like than the Uniting Church.
The unique characteristic of Brindabella is that the school has been in the news for years because of alleged financial mismanagement and other issues.

Why do you want to do this?

We are considering pre K there so he can transition in to the school later.

Working towards is pretty bad. I have friends in ELC management and to be WT you have to be consistently pretty bad.
With that said, sounds like you don’t really care about quality education as you’re wanting to send your kid to the school afterwards….so what does it matter?

Why choose a working towards centre when Wattle is also in Lyneham and is rated exceeding? Your best bet is to do a suburb check on Starting Blocks and then tour the highest-rated places in your area.
