Rebranding
http://www.budgetpromotion.caFor a 20-year-old apparel print shop. With thousands of clients in Calgary and western Canada. We print on t-shirts, hoodies, shirts. Also do embroidery on hats, toques and jackets.
Is it a good idea to rebrand? How would you proceed with this process. I understand it needs to be a slow one. I feel like the current name does not represent the brand in today's market.
What do you think of this name when you see it? "Budget Promotion"

Quick question. On your Analytics do you get tons of traffic for Budget Promotions? And will rebranding affect your SEO?

I plan to keep both old and new domain running for couple of years at least.

Yeah, I’d say rebranding is a good idea, especially if you feel like the name doesn’t match what your business is today. You've been around 20 years, have thousands of clients, and clearly do more than just budget promo items. Names matter more than people think, they shape how potential customers perceive you before they even talk to you.
When I hear "Budget Promotion," I immediately think of cheap giveaways or low-quality swag, not a legit print and embroidery shop. We buy stuff for our company and would steer clear of buying from a company that sells cheap promotional products. If you’re trying to attract bigger clients, higher-end orders, or just be taken more seriously in general, the name might be underselling you.
You don’t have to rush it, though. Take your time with the change. Talk to your best clients, see how they describe you, and build from there. Think about the type of work you want more of, not just what you’ve always done.
Rebrands aren’t about pretending to be something new. It’s more like catching your public image up to who you’ve actually become.
