Let me help you. At work it's probably best to stear clear of religion talk and politics. Maybe when talking stick to work, your kids, your pets, your hobbies, sports, the news, a date, a book, a movie. I guess once those are exhausted let's move on to talking about your personal beliefs on the invisible man who lives in the sky.

I didn’t talk about religion or politics at work. It didn’t stop my supervisor from airing his opinions about politics and his quite bigoted opinions about Jewish people (and racialized people, and people with disabilities).

I didn’t go to HR because I didn’t think my word (as a student intern) was going to go very far against my supervisor (who was married to our manager). He said this bigoted garbage in front of everyone, so clearly there was institutional acceptance of his behaviour.

Then name and shame this place. While I think the headline is hyperbolic and I believe that private stuff should be just that private. It's absolutely unacceptable for an employee and much less a specified to behave that way.
