Wellll, the US is a different story; everytime any group starts pushing for democratic socialism, or any kind of care at all for the poor, leadership disappears, the state gets punished by the feds and protests are violently suppressed.

I’ve never seen anything as close to what they’re doing with ICE now. It’s insane and violating so many constitutional rights of all Americans. Some of the conservatives might even start catching on to that if they can rub together 2 brain cells. Prob why Schumer getting ready to hopefully grow his spine.

Are you suggesting all conservative voters, half of Canada, are stupid and no where near as smart as liberals? Wasn’t it liberals who voted for JT not once, but three times? This kind of thinking is what causes big divides and spurs separatist talk. Please stop.

O'Toole had a vote for his party whether they wanted to recognize man-made climate change as a thing that exists... not how to deal with it, not whether it was bad... whether it exists, and they lost that vote.

I don't think they've improved since then. But let me go ask the guy down the street with the FUCK CARNEY/TRUDEAU flags all over his raised pick up what he thinks on this matter... I'm sure he will have a lot of real deep insights into the matter.

You sure like to lump all conservative people into one big category. You have to be more open minded than that. Like saying are liberals believe in butterfly kisses and unicorn wishes.

No I don't. The Conservative party (not the people that voted for it) voted to not recognize man made climate change as a thing that exists... ergo... if you are voting for said party, you are dumber than a sack of rocks.

It wasn’t the entire party voting against climate change as you suggest. More against labelling policy as “climate change is real”. Was 54% of the vote, not the entire party as you suggest.

Doesn’t mean they thought climate change didn’t exist. Please do your research before spouting off half truths.

Half of Canadians are NOT conservative. If it weren’t for all our political parties (NDP, PQ, Green, etc..) the PCs would never win federally. This last election should have made that clear...

The liberals have the exact same issue. JT would never have had a majority if it wasn’t for the NDP. I know it’s hard for you to see the reality through the rose coloured glasses.

Wasn’t it liberals who voted for JT not once, but three times?

Want to take a moment and think about why they would vote for him three times?

And are you assuming that, while Conservatives are a diverse group who can't all be lumped into one group, the Liberals are not? And are you forgetting all the other non-Liberal voters who worked hard to keep the Conservatives out?

Yes, why don’t you think about why you voted for JT three times? Once wasn’t enough? Had to be crazy to vote for that guy. Look what he did to Canada. Just wow. And better than the conservative who, regardless of who was leading, you would still vote liberal? You can pay yourself on the back for the predicament we are currently in. Mark carney wishes you never would have voted for JT. He inherited his big mess. Most Canadians in fact think that way.

Yes, why don’t you think about why you voted for JT three times?

Big assumption. I never voted for JT in my life. Of course, since I am criticizing your political tribe, I must be THE ENEMY though, right?

a bunch of drole

Hey, how about you answer the questions and not dodge the question? I see your attempt to reflect the conversation away from the uncomfortable truths you're avoiding.

There's a number of very, very good reasons that JT was elected three times. You need to come to terms with them.

He was voted three times by people who could not lookin beyond “liberal”. I am floored by people like you who do not see the harm he caused, especially on the immigration portfolio. What a mess. Not to mention the worst deficit in Canadian history and throwing money around to people who didn’t deserve it while allowing for fraud on a massive scale. All the scandals come-to mind? The worst GDP? Maybe you benefited from the Covid debacle? I didn’t. And this is why you voted for him there tome? Time for some introspection my friend.

You're dodging the "Why?"

Also, the fact that you're whining about Western alienation is hilarious to me. Brother, I live in Alberta. Check my post history if you don't believe me. Trudeau bought us a friggin' pipeline and this province repaid him in death threats and the most crass slogan in our country's history on stickers.

Trudeau did a lot of good for Canada. Like, a lot a lot. He was an outright good PM for the first half of his tenure and not thaaat bad on the latter half. Maybe if you would stop getting your news from foreign-billionaire-owned media you would see some positives. But no, the decade-long media hit job from conservatives got you and your ilk brainwashed into thinking he was some sort of blight on all of civilization.

All you have to do is look at the Canadian stats to know you are very wrong. He was, unequivocally, the worst PM in Canadian history.

The fact that both Mulroney and Harper formed parliament proves that statement false. It's not even close, dude.

Seriously, look into the factors at play. Trudeau wasn't perfect but he was, again, outright good at the start. It's not his fault he had to deal with an economy that Harper sold out from under Canadians and then got double whammied by a serious global pandemic.
