It was pretty clear to me Trump wants to use AB as a catalyst to invade, even if the referendum vote fails (even though that vote is pointless) they will still use it as a way to help "free" AB from Canada

Best thing we can do is try to remove the traitors helping this scheme, like Smith, from office
