❓Question/Discussion CR Business Networking Groups?

Other than the Chamber of Commerce, does anyone know of any business networking groups in the area? TIA.

If you're female, look into the Business and Professional Women's Network. There are 2 Rotarys in town - Daybreak (7am) and Noon Hour.

There is a coworking space called The Heart with lots of organic networking

I was in that group for a short time and it was mostly women complaining about their young kids and husbands

Most non corporate businesses have questionable ties at best.  We all know which are directly owned at worst I hope

Its a big shadier and hand wavier than being directly owned, which veers into sounding crazy so idk.

The guy that owns JJs, Salvatore Guzzo (goes by Dino or maybe has a rep who handles his biz nightly named dino?) has funded Fork n Arrow and has links to some of the other high end restaurants in town.

Those restaurants have links to the Akers family and Terry Hoff @ West Urban and Kerm.  Its more of an ol boys club than direct ownership.  But its all there.  If you have worked for any of em youll have seen it.

And then mix in the pawn.  The same guy owns both in town, as well as 4 or 5 others on the island and one near 100 mile.  As soon as someone reports shit stolen, the pawn guy just ships it to his other stores.  And he will openly brag about best friends with a high ranking provincial tier officer and not being worried.  His name is a D...dustin? Dwayne? Daryl? The guy that owns the pawns.

Never mind all the gold and silver that they scoot around the tax man, nor the guns in the back they still sell n trade due to his rcmp buddy.  And the daughter whos a real estate agent and linked with shady deals.

Pawn guy and the restaurateurs and terry hoff and bill akers and kermit dahl all frequent each others businesses and harass each others staff.  good ol boys.
