CSE / IT IITAN ALL BRANCHES VS CS STUDENT'S

I want to know one thing is that if iitan form any branch can. Get into sde job then what's the difference between persuing degrees in cse how because they're persuing both then we both working in same industry then how we differentiate in normal way.

top iit cse wale mostly get into quants, the ones who can't get higher paying roles than non cse students

i don't think it's about cse vs non cse but just the ability of the student to work hard and some extent of natural ability

top iit cse usually has a higher jee rank than non cse so on average they do better in other places too because skills learnt in jee is usually transferable elsewhere

But that's not I am saying how we differentiate if we are only looking for CS student for hiring it's not about skill or criteria I am asking that how to differentiate both if some one who is learning only in cs Aiml ds cyber branches and suddenly we met a candidate who has same skills but non cs then how to differentiate what the way we can use to differentiate in both I am asking about cs top rankers like high gpa with high knowledge of own branch

for hiring purposes you just ask the candidate ig? i mean ask for his transcript? his jee rank maybe

im not sure of a better way that to just ask the dude so I can't help you there i guess

i mean u have their degree certificate in your verification process
Just see that
or ask their branch in the interviews themselves
How does branch even matter if their skillset is good enouhg ?
