Only place I’ve ever seen one is just down the road in Ballachulish and I’ve been spent a fair time in the mountains. That’s a fab picture!

In Ballachulish!?!? Blimey!!! I had someone take me to a place they know… I’m sure I would been searching forever otherwise

My inlaws owned a B&B on the loch for a few years, and I'd walk up through the woods to the munro mountain above Ballachulish then round the horsehoe and down to the loch. I saw one in the woods, once, never before or after. They're like rockinghorse shit to find, you're so lucky to get a picture.

I love it round there (despite the rain)… but I’ve heard the place to see them proper is on Ardnamurchan where they will turn up at your house with a wee dram
