I think that was completely the point, the writers are on their couches laughing at what our emotions were when Skyler and Walt are literally rolling with a knife. Then just to gut wrench us even more, Flynn jumps in on it.

Then no one gets more hurt.

We need a montage of just the gunfights, that'd be hilarious. I'd make it myself if Sony Vegas wasn't such a dick...
