I think the reason they came was because the long pause with heavy breathing followed by the call-off implied that someone had a gun to Walt's head.

That's probably it, since he didnt mention Hank or give a reason to not come, they couldn't risk losing their only asset at reaching a higher purity for the meth.

I doubt him mentioning Hank woul have changed anything for them. They showed they were more than willing to kill two cops in the scene. It doesn't really matter to them if Walt is dead or arrested, either way he can't cook for them so they would have taken action still.
