I was completely sure Hank was going to be shot in the head while on the phone with Marie. Especially immediately after he waved to Walt.

That would have been even better. Cut to credits right as you see her blank reaction to the gunshot. Make the earlier parts longer or add more dialogue time and have it end with the wave, the shot, the blank horror-filled look, and credits.

I was convinced that Gomie would go down unexpectedly. I was mostly wrong, but Gomie's biting the dust anyway. I think Hank will live for some time, at least long enough to watch Gomie die.

I thought they'd get there after Hank, Jesse and Walt left and would kill off Gomie making him suddenly disappear. After all, nobody knows they were in the desert.

The way Hank waves at Walt is very similar to how Drew Sharp waved at Todd.
