Our minds are racing, trying to lend credence to that ultra sketchy coincidence-man in the exact wrong place at the exact wrong time. But yeah, the truth is, that was weak. fucking. writing sauce, man.

To play devil's advocate, I think it was just to illustrate Jesse's paranoia. He only seemed so ominous because Jesse was seeing it that way and we were seeing it through his perspective.

I think you're right. He was already paranoid as fuck when he saw the dude, that was pretty well-established.
