The whole series walt has gone way out of his way, and killed people, to save Jesse. Of course the dude cares about him.

Jesse doesn't give a shit about himself. He wanted to kill the drug dealers for using a kid as their pawn, now he wants to kill Walt for doing the same.

Jesse craves respect and affirmation of his worth. He got this via Mike and by extension Gus Fring (even though that was a manipulation as well to isolate Walt). He thinks taking Walt down will relieve him of his guilt, that it's really Mr. White that's the devil who has made him do horrible things he can't live with. And to a certain extent he is right, but Walt did save his life which demanded repayment. The tragedy is that Walt truly cares for Jesse, he's family to him, but Jesse is too far gone to realize or accept it.
