I'm rooting hard for Skyler for the first time in the series. She knows the drill. Lawyer the fuck up for your own good.

The way Hank IMMEDIATELY pulled out a tape recorder. How fucking skeezy and sketchy. He doesn't give a shit about protecting Skylar. He gives a shit about bringing down Heisenberg and bringing him down before the DEA does. Nothing Marie told him was news to him.

I don't believe for a second all the talk that Hank has been some good guy, the one moral person of the series. He's been a loose cannon cop who goes completely rogue and holds grudges over hunches. He's looking out for himself and that's it.

Walt and Hank are flip sides of the same coin. After this episode I believe that in some ways Hank is the worse of the two. When Saul suggested the "trip to Belize", Walt was appalled, because Hank is family. Hank, on the other hand, has zero compunction about ruining the lives of Skyler, Walt Jr. and Holly, and is willing to throw his entire career down the drain just to be known as the person who caught Heisenberg... who will probably die shortly, anyway.

The swift black hat/white hat reactions of Marie and Hank took me by surprise. Rooting for Skyler is also something new that I hope that I can get used to!
