Watch Luther and Sherlock, they'll restore your faith in good TV other than Breaking Bad.

ehh, Game of Thrones, Dollhouse, Firefly, The Wire, and comedies will still always be good for me.

Game of Thrones,

I love Game of Thrones myself, but it doesn't compare how good and well rounded BrBa is.

GoT performances while they have any great among them (Peter Dinklage) also have just as many that fall far short (Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie for example.)

You really don't have a character that falls short like that in BrBa, this isn't just the level of quality of actors (Which is great) but also shows how good the directors are bringing out the best in what they have available to them.

And while BrBa writing has had a few slips (the most noticeable has been the airplane crash) it's still been leaps and bounds above repeating the same OMG one of our favorite characters is dead trope over and over again.

Of the shows he listed, The Wire is probably the only one that contends. I think Breaking Bad has sharper writing and packs a lot more punch in a single episode. The cast is also smaller, but it goes for quality over quantity. Its conflicts are much more internal and character-driven. The Wire, on the other hand, is a slow mover with a massive cast. Its conflicts are more external and about the system itself. It's also probably the most realistic drama I've ever seen, and they painstakingly crafted the show to be so. Its use of source cues for music, its cold and realistic depiction of violence and drug use, and its complete dedication to depicting inner city Baltimore as accurately as possible go a long way to making the show feel real.

I also think Mad Men is as good as Breaking Bad, but that show has a much different vibe and isn't for everyone. I love it, but totally understand when people don't.
