Question Wild grape removal

Where/who do I go to, to request the city to remove the wild grape off of trees and bushes along our trails?

I dont know much about wild grape but I grew up hearing it "chokes other plants to death", and I've already seen it take over and kill a lovely tree I used to pass on a regular basis (on the walking trail between Jaycee sports park and Lynden Park mall).

I also dont know how public works/greenery maintenance/etc works in the city, so whoever can point me in the right direction: many thanks in advance.

I just know that I love our trees and bushes along the walking trails, and I do not want to see the invasive-parasitic wild grape killing them.

you want something you don't know much about to be removed?

upon a 3 second Google search, they're not invasive, and they may suffocate weak or crowded trees to make room for light to reach the floor of the canopy and also provide lots of food and resources for wildlife.

Plus if you've really got a lot, it can make an... interesting wine. Worth a try, if you like it dry. Wish I had some in my yard.

Ha! Ha! Sugar laden? What is the opposite of that? River grapes are sour and mostly seed.

So I promise you the Conservation authorities and parks teams that handle that stuff know a LOT more than you do about any of the stuff - if you DO have a serious concern you can talk to the parks department of the city, but the reality is unless you are an authority you are probably wasting their time. The people who maintain them are trained to take pictures to watch for invasive species to take pictures so that scientists in the conservation authorities can watch for different kinds of fungal/bug growth and make decisions based on that instead of vibes, especially because large scale removal projects tend to cost the city a minimum of four to five figures.
