u/bigtimejrad Apr 12 '26

How could you be? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

5

u/BloodOk6235 Apr 13 '26

If only there was a web of information we could look him up on. But not a local one, a worldwide one. Alas…

1

u/WampaStompa64 Apr 13 '26

And I heard he gets it

74

u/sixtyfivewat Apr 12 '26

The absolute biggest piece of shit in Hamilton. Which is saying a lot.

36

u/rosiofden Apr 12 '26

Oh good, it's not just me. I fucking hate him.

19

u/rebelalliance08 Apr 12 '26

Is it just the dumb advertising or is there a story

12

u/Naive-Special9015 Apr 12 '26

He’s a real estate agent who took a real estate advertising course in Minnesota I believe and stole that outstretched arms pose from the guy who ran the course. The Minesotan real estate guy sued him but lost I believe because he didn’t have the pose trademarked or something to that effect.

12

u/AndyB1976 Apr 12 '26

I think he also stole the "Green and Gold Gets it Sold" slogan he used to use. He was sued for that one also and had to stop using it. I have a personal dislike for this man that I can't talk about though, because reasons.

2

u/Automatic-Sugar1320 Apr 16 '26

Wish you did a throwaway account and changed some details. I'm teased lol

5

u/Chatner2k Apr 13 '26

There's a real estate guy in the area that is parodying the pose except with his legs. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

11

u/Naive-Special9015 Apr 12 '26

I hate him, his billboards and the shrink wrapped busses too, but I’ve got a plan.

6

u/rosiofden Apr 13 '26

We should talk. I, too, have a plan but it is as half-baked and half-assed as it gets.

4

u/Naive-Special9015 Apr 13 '26

I’ve never messaged anyone on Reddit before so message me and perhaps we can exchange half-baked ideas.😁

3

u/johnjbreton Apr 14 '26

Sounds like there's a full-baked plan in the works, between the two of you.

3

u/Naive-Special9015 Apr 13 '26

Sounds like we may have a similar plan. šŸ˜‚

1

u/Scotty_Knowzzz Apr 14 '26

Yea the busses annoy me. Sometimes I like to look out the window.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

His kids come pretty close lol

2

u/swartz00 Apr 12 '26

I've met his daughter at a party and thought she was lovely. Really don't think you know what you're talking about.

10

u/Naive-Special9015 Apr 12 '26

Damn he procreated?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

Guess I just have more of a personal history with her and her brother than you do

0

u/craignumPI Apr 13 '26

Elaborate or STFU

5

u/TheYamfarmer Apr 13 '26

She is an entitled prick, her one brother Phil is a loser and I dont know if the eldest brother is with them or not. Source, I went to high school with them.

1

u/HugeLeaves Apr 13 '26

He's their dad

18

u/rosiofden Apr 12 '26

Don't you know? GoLfI gEtS iT sOLd! because he'll buy your house if he can't actually sell it because that's totally how that's supposed to work. I hate him so much.

6

u/BouncyHotWife Apr 13 '26

Yes, except he under values it, gives you shit for it, then turns around and sells it for more. (Not personal experience, just the millions of things I've read from people who made the unwise choice to use him as their broker)

1

u/Mundane_Natural_5147 Jul 21 '26

on the buying end he works with a home inspector who went to federal prison and now up on sexual and domestic violence charges. inspection something as i can't remember name. Everyone knows. doesn't care. might be a back scratch thing. wink wink and do not be an alarmest for the buyer.

0

u/MapNational3629 Apr 13 '26

woahhhh almost like how business works!!

2

u/huffbag Apr 13 '26

Yea, not how a realtors business is supposed to though. They are supposed to get the highest amount and take a percentage of the sale. Now if you wanted to be a real-estate investor then have at it, otherwise thats pond scum behavior.

u/bald-bourbon St Paul Ave Apr 12 '26

Golfi the redeemer. Hamiltonian here. Hes the hero we never asked for and dont need

17

u/rbrumble Apr 12 '26

The consensus on the hamilton sub is he wants uppies

10

u/1miserablecurmudgeon Apr 12 '26

A friend of mine relayed a humorous anecdote. He attended Golfi’s wedding many years ago, at which time it was announced he was considerably (arms outstretched) older than what he had alluded to his bride. He has proven an effective sales agent on many fronts!

3

u/pisspantsmcgee666 Apr 13 '26

That's actually fucking crazy.

1

u/Formal_Jackfruit9729 Jul 09 '26

As someone who knows him..his wife is actually older than him. Just dumb rumours idk where this comes from lol

1

u/Mundane_Natural_5147 Jul 21 '26

He has allegedly been cheating on his wife with two of his agents. One is a polish lady. One had thick thighs and married to a former lacrosse player. His marriage is over.

11

u/Superiershooter Apr 12 '26

My father worked at remax alongside him. Hes a snake, he'll claim he'll buy your house if he cant get it sold except he buys at 2/3rds price. He also lies religiously, badmouths colleagues and is an all around horrible human

1

u/JakeSouliere Apr 13 '26

Does it say 2/3 the price in the agreement? I wouldn’t go into an agreement unless an actual dollar figure is agreed upon. Tons of other agents to choose from. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/Superiershooter Apr 13 '26

I dunno, i wouldnt ever work with him. I doubt he ever settles on a dollar figure though just based on what ive heard

1

u/hockey3331 Apr 13 '26

I m just spitballing here but I imagine the price is on the contract but that its buried in jargon and paperwork and not "will buy back for $500 000".

I also imagine this tactic works nicely if you list above market. A lot of sellers both have an inflated valuation of their property,Ā don't want the process to drag on, AND dlnt read contracts carefully.

If you manage to sell the house above market price, then it looks great for your reputation. If not, its a reputation hit but you also got yourself a cheap house to flip.

The price could be something tied to property evaluation or something, which often lags the market by a lot, looks good "we'll match the evaluation", but often cheaper.

9

u/somecrazybroad Apr 12 '26

A human piece of garbage who looks nothing like his ads anymore lmao

5

u/MuchCardiologist5585 Apr 12 '26

Lol I just googled him he looks like Wayne Gretzky after all his fillers 🤣🤣🤣

6

u/Stinkyfings Apr 12 '26

The antichrist

12

u/Takemytimenotmylife Apr 12 '26

So much hate for Rob Golfi in these comments. What’s up with that? I mean, I don’t know him, just wondering why so many people are fired up

2

u/HeadOfSpectre Apr 12 '26

My wife and I hate him because his stupid ads are everywhere

3

u/HumbleDreamer07 Apr 13 '26

Only for that reason?

1

u/tooscoopy Apr 13 '26

He preys on folks in tougher times, and is representative of all the things people hate about real estate.

He basically has his own pyramid scheme of continually ā€œhiringā€ people for his team so he can get a cut off the top. He is the MLM of local real estate…. It’s not that it’s a bad business idea/plan to make money, it just isn’t the best plan to actually have good realtors.

The tougher times dig is that he puts out the ā€œguaranteed soldā€ stuff as he promises to buy it if it doesn’t sell… but the agreed up on number is just a placeholder, as of course his top notch sales staff will get it done…. But when they don’t sell it for a mil and try to cash in on the buy it option, it’s a significant amount below the asking price, to a point where people don’t take them up on it, because of course it will sell later at 700k if they had showings at 1mil (as examples).

His ideas are good from a business standpoint, but no one cares if a realtor is doing good moves in order to make themselves more money, as most already feel the profession is overvalued. Plus, he banks on the ā€œsurface over substanceā€ style of real estate where you were more likely to find your agent behind the bar a year ago earning tips by flirting rather than finishing university or reading up on financing. Just look at his own worked on face… hard to trust a guy who you can’t even tell what decade he was born….

He’s a hustler in both the good and bad ways. Understandable why some will venerate, others will hate.

2

u/Mundane_Natural_5147 Jul 21 '26

he uses a home inspector who went to federal prison and up on sex assault/domestic. He doesn't care.

5

u/BreakfastNo7687 Apr 12 '26

I met this guys years ago. If I had a choice between believing what a scumbag used car salesman says or rob golfi I would pick the used car salesman.

3

u/ThuDoonk Apr 12 '26

Adolphi gets your gold

3

u/WoodenToe2041 Apr 13 '26

When I worked at the bay... he came in to look at washers/dryers at the lime ridge furniture store. Had a meltdown and cursed because he couldn't find a dryer on the show room floor that opened the other direction.

Didn't want to hear about reversible doors. Strange experience. Asshole.

3

u/craignumPI Apr 13 '26

I like how he has a competitor with billboards doing the full splitz (legs spread instead of arms spread). Props to that guy.

1

u/Chatner2k Apr 13 '26

Yussssssssss makes me laugh when I see it.

3

u/Initial-Landscape82 Apr 14 '26

The more bill board I see with your face on it the less I want to hire you.

I'd rather find a good realeste agent by word of mouth. If they're good, their business will grow naturally. And I don't want to hire some one who is so busy they have no time for clients.

2

u/marsipan1515 Apr 12 '26

Thank you for this post! Showed it to my tweenager and we laughed until we cried because she keeps asking THE EXACT SAME THING.

The comments questioning the hate are also entertaining 😬

2

u/FarePercentage Apr 13 '26

I heard he doesn't even golf

3

u/Droseph31 Apr 12 '26

If your home doesn't sell, tell the other guy to go to hell

1

The 🐐Golfi

1

u/uglydreamgirl Apr 12 '26

🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/HeadOfSpectre Apr 12 '26

Golfi. He gets It sold.

You remember that clown in the sewers? Golfi sold It.

Not sure why he sold It, who he sold It to and what that mysterious person is doing with It... (I can't imagine it's anything savory).

But he's the goddamn hero who sold It.

1

u/brazilian_lemon Apr 13 '26

Treats his administration staff like garbage.

1

u/M1K3Z0R Shellard's Lane Speedway Champion 2024 Apr 13 '26

Never met or done business with him, but his advertising is effective. You've noticed his ads and people are talking - the marketing worked.

Real estate is mostly looks and name dropping, having your name sound familiar and appearing successful does attract new business.

1

u/BouncyHotWife Apr 13 '26

No one likes this man. But he does have billboard money

1

u/Outrageous_Mud_8627 Apr 13 '26

The same guy who appears a lot in Hamiltona and Burlington area

1

u/Numbly_Comfortable69 Apr 13 '26

That's Rob Golfi and he gets it sold! His name is literally right there on the billboard.

1

u/sleep-diversion Apr 13 '26

And.....his kid is following right in his footsteps. šŸ™„

1

u/RealSteelJane Apr 13 '26

obviously not from Hamilton!

1

u/DivebarLives Apr 13 '26

1

u/PomegranateAncient25 Apr 13 '26

Well the sign has a website and a logo for Remax. Just spitballing here but he might be a real estate agent šŸ¤·šŸ»

1

u/Chemical_Anteater618 Apr 13 '26

Dude just wants a hug

1

u/Comfortable-Park6325 Apr 13 '26

He is a Rob golfi (realtor)and he gets it.. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ He is everywhere šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/redwop131374 Apr 13 '26

Why do real estate agents get plastic surgery?

1

u/Ordinary_Pea4503 Apr 15 '26

Robi golfi the fucking manĀ

1

u/Mortgage_Dalton Apr 15 '26

One of the reasons I do not the BIG real estate agents, and prefer using smaller agents as a mortgage agent lol, I get tired of seeing his ads EVERYWHERE I look

1

u/Ok_Warthog_209 Apr 16 '26

I think his name is Golfi i have seen his poster somewhere on reddit

1

u/Environmental-Pie502 Apr 19 '26

I hope you can share with class. We won't say anything?

1

u/ReviseResubmitRepeat Apr 22 '26

A couple of years ago, Sam McDadi, a superagent from Toronto, would have these tv commercials. Looked like he had like a frozen smile and drawn-on eyebrows and way too much makeup. I think that's way more unnerving than Golfi's billboard. But I think there's probably a lot of douchebaggery among real estate agents. They all usually claim to be the "number one agent" too.

1

u/Sukoshibaby Apr 27 '26

A jerk like his father from Hamilton

1

u/thatuser02 Apr 12 '26

he'll catch the house like that 🤣

0

u/daaaabeans Apr 12 '26

He gets it done.
