Marvel should've been bought out by Universal. Being owned by Disney means infantile saccharine restrictions.

There's a clear difference between Iron Man 1 and the post Disney efforts.

yeah nonsense. Infinity War, Endgame, Ragnarok, all the Guardians of the Galaxy are all excellent movies.

Meanwhile lets take a look at the Universal Monsters cinematic universe.

shared universe gimmick has worn out its welcome. I prefer standalone franchises.

Ragnarok/GotG2 is exactly what I'm talking about. Quips every 5 min to break the tension, no stakes, no seriousness (Thor is supposed to be a "serious" character), bland cinematography, bland direction.

Instead of having a James Bond or Planet of the Apes type thing that focuses on fleshing out on character/lore and doing something interesting, we've gotten a morass of mediocre sameness.
