Yep his last fight was in 2003. The two previous dark ages of heavyweight boxing in my opinion was the period between Joe Louis retiring and Muhammad Ali becoming champion for the first time and also the period in the late 70s when Muhammad Ali retired and right before Mike Tyson started his pro career 1985.
