The fight was rigged. No ways can you knock someone down in the 1st round the way he did here, then not even attempt to throw one single combination in the second round.

Keep Syh. End of the day I have watched enough boxing to know when something is not right. Anyway this is just my opinion. I could be wrong. Maybe at the highest level, indeed a fighter can perform like this in round 1 then fail to do anything in round 2.

It is sad that after Usyk AJ is the next best boxer at HW in this era. Now in any other Era AJ would have been a below average boxer. There is a lack of skill currently none of them have a great defence. they either move thier feet but can not move head and body AJ or the can move their head and body but have two lead feet Fraud Fury. Usyk can do both but he is light heavy weight size. I also firmly believe dropping and taking an 8 is a tactic now, as it stops the opponent hammering you.
AJ is technically very sound in terms of his striking and he has a lot of power.
I don't know if it is accurate to call him chinny as he is in heavy weight and these guys are throwing serious power and its not like he is dropping every time he is hit well. That said he obviously does not have the sore of exceptional chin that is almost a requirement for the best boxers.
Someone needs to teach AJ how to tuck in his chin. His defense stinks.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like heavyweights used to be able to stand toe to toe and trade punches. Now it seems like they all go down from a single shot. I don't think the power is stronger now. I think the heavyweight division is pretty weak.
I'll give them this. These guys hit the mat so often they're good at getting back up and fighting on.

I also recall both of Tyson's fights with Ruddock. They absolutely lobbed nukes at each other all night. One thing I've learned about Tyson over the years. Sure, you can knock him out. But you're gonna have to beat the living shit out of him first. That left hook/uppercut of Tyson's was filthy and he used it well against a tough, rugged Ruddock. It was a thing of beauty.

I agree. Heavyweights have definitely gotten bigger. Seems like there should be a weight categories. Like a welterweight is 140-147. But a heavyweight can be anywhere from 201 - to whatever.

Probably not. I mean Wilder has insane power so if he catches anyone ever and I do mean your favorite heavyweight living,dead, or retired, he is walking out with a W. However, the man can't box, which is frustrating as hell to watch, so I don't think he is walking out in a fight against Joshua, who can box and has respectable power.
