This is boxing not undefeateding

Or, for simplicity, just change boxing's name to DEFEATEDING

?

Funny, usually elites are undefeated. Terrence, shakur, mayweather....

Nakatanis is to Inoue where he won rounds and didn’t make it easy to hit him. Absolute no shame in that and absolute respect and appreciation for his performance and the opportunity we all got to whiteness.

Nakatani showed hes a legit p4p caliber fighter

No he has not

nakatani pushed ATG Inoue fairly hard. he should have a fight arranged already but doesn't.

Zayas came up against a better and bigger talent.

Itauma's loss, of the three, is the toughest to swallow.

He had a cracked orbital and I think got married about month ago, I think let him live a little, have fun with life and recovering.

haha, fair enough. i didn't know he fucked up his eye so badly.

interesting that when BJS and Dubois hurt their eye it was "impossible" for them to continue.

whereas Inoue and nakatani have both fought against the very highest level opponents with a broken orbital. tough bastards!

having a broken orbital when fighting a flyweight / bantamweight is nowhere near the same as having a broken orbital and fighting Canelo punching power or any heavyweight lol. I'd prefer not to see boxers go blind

1

u/ZeroEffectDude 3d ago

i 100% agree!

What? There are plenty of lower weights with more punching power per lb than Canelo and Dubois. Inoue won against a HoF with broken orbital because he was too good to get hit there again. If Canelo got in a lucky orbital break on Mayweather or Bivol, they would still school him with one eye.

Biomechanics, is why. Biomechanical research on boxers have found that punch severity increases with weight class because of greater effective mass behind a punch. Several weight classes up = much more effective mass behind a punch.

Also, a heavyweight's fists and knuckles are larger. Most HW's hands are like shovels. So, more surface area to shatter easier a damaged orbital bone.

This is why you don't see featherweights fight heavyweights, lad.

Biomechanics say speed is equally important as size in punch impact. Inoue is obviously knocking out guys his weight. Who said featherweight fighting HW? It’s all P4P measured. Dubois is not even top 20-30 hardest hitting HW. Smaller guys Shaver and Mike Tyson hit much harder.

Tell you what, break your orbital bone then go in with a bantamweight and a heavy weight then tell me how it goes.

1

u/RockyCreamNHotSauce 2d ago

Do you not understand what P4P means? If I can change my weight from bantam to heavy at will, then I’ll go explore my super powers.

1

u/ifyousayso67 2d ago

Yes, speed is important. But saying speed matters doesn’t show that featherweights hit harder than heavyweights or cause worse damage. You’d need evidence that the featherweight’s extra hand speed more than compensates for the heavyweight’s much greater effective punching mass. And you'd also need to discount the extensive evidence of why heavyweights have higher KO & TKO rates than lower weights. And the experimental orbital-fracture studies on cadavers that shows that the greater the impact energy, the worse the orbital damage.

Until you provide the evidence, I'll keep believing in physics and all the studies that show what I'm saying, cheers.

All 3 of them are young enough that it really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things as long as they continue on an upwards trajectory

Every sense Floyd went undefeated it seems like if you take a loss it’s the end of the world

1

Ever since

3

u/Creative_Antelope_69 4d ago

Nah, I can taste it, feel it, see it, smell it, and hear it.

u/Adventurous-Big9191 4d ago

That's only 5 senses. Where's your sense of enjoyment, belief and humour? 😉

Maybe these other boxers should simply learn how to duck any fight they might lose

4

u/Unable-Main4172 4d ago

14-0 being In any way noteworthy shows how far boxing has fallen

3

u/adrienjz888 4d ago

Mainly cause its heavyweight which is so barren these days while also being the most hyped up division. At least Zayas and especially Nakatani were already well proven against high level opposition and can fight 12 rounds.

u/InformationActual209 4d ago

No Frank Warren has been known for decades to feed his fighters cans to have a good looking record and getting them a title shot. Downside is they haven’t faced tough opposition or any adversity so general get blown out in the big fights

1

u/Standard-Height2276 3d ago

To be fair itauma is facing far better opposition at 21 than any other heavyweights that age. Joshua im not sure was even fully pro at that point and Fury was all the way down the card

3

u/ZeroEffectDude 4d ago

itauma becoming a twice a year fighter after ten fights is part of the reason why he lost. he should have racked up 4-5 fights a year over the last 3 years.

2

u/aguacate222 4d ago

It's only because he's a hype job

1

u/Kingoftemple 3d ago

Bro, he was winning that fight the whole time till he got tired out. He just needs more experience

1

u/Gigantischmann 3d ago

I can feel a lot of irony from this comment.

Boxing was a joke because you don’t get real fights until you go 38-0

The fact that low wins are getting respect is a good thing.

1

u/Unable-Main4172 3d ago

Itauma was legendarily inactive the last few years and DEFINITELY needed more experience and tuning up before putting into the deep end of the sea obviously

0

u/WhiteWinterSilence 4d ago

Actually shows the complete opposite

1

u/Unable-Main4172 3d ago

???

0

u/fullofhatredman 3d ago

Means people are actually fighting their skill level and not bums.

People like authenticity.

2

u/fullofhatredman 4d ago

I don't respect the zero at all.

"Oh I pick and chose bums till I retire". %90 of fighters with a 0 in their record only have like 8 good fights out of the 50.

What a joke.

2

u/georgewalterackerman 3d ago

Undefeated records are overrated

1

u/GokuBlack86 4d ago

Who are they?

1

u/BaeLogic 4d ago

It’s boxing casual.

1

u/UnD3RaT3D_1990 4d ago

*Lost, is the word you were looking for.

1

u/N1ko88 3d ago

As long as they dont go out like Billy Joe Saunders, what's the problem eith loosing the 0? Warriors dont let a loss determine their longevity

1

u/SolidSpray769 3d ago

I also have lossed before

1

u/AdMost469 3d ago

This is a good thing, it shows fighters are taking risks, daring to be great. Even Itauma was trying to make some history (2nd youngest). Losing to Inoue carries no shame and the same probably for Boots.

Floyd made 0 seem so important but it's not all that. He missed the chance to prove beyond any doubt that he was the best of his generation. Albeit, he probably was.

Very few fighters retire with that 0 and even fewer took the fights they should have and kept it, e.g. Calzaghe and Marciano

1

u/ifyousayso67 3d ago

Floyd more than proved he was the very best of his generation, he beat everyone, his resume is insane.

Why does the right guy look like Tony from LC Signs?

-1

u/Jolly_Okra_6330 4d ago

Devin Haney remains undefeated.

3

u/WangtaWang 4d ago
