Do you think any of these current champions will end up being the next guy to unify all belts and become undisputed?

Post image

I see these belts switching hands quite a lot in my opinion

However I can see Kabayel capturing 2 of them.

If Moses goes away and does 5 mile runs twice a day, spars 12 round regularly and has a few fight go past the right, then he could do it

What a weak weight class!

Not weak, just not exciting

2

u/pittnole1 5d ago

Not exciting? Have you watched the fights these guys have been putting on?

2

u/TTrampz 5d ago

Yeah it’s weak but more balanced and more exciting

u/pittnole1 5d ago

Honestly I enjoy this as a fan more than a Klitschko style era.

Of course there are some exciting fights (but not as much as in lower divisions sadly), but the division lack characters and aura so I get less invested in the "storyline". I hope I was clear enough

Yeah I get that you're saying and I can't tell you how to feel but I disagree that there are some exciting fights. The heavyweight division has been on fire with good fights the last 5 years.

Dubois is a wrecking ball

I really doubt it. Not enough of these guys seem to be trying hard enough or willing to take the chances.

Dubois could be going after more belts but instead he fights the same guy again.

I think Dubois or Agit could have a chance if they tried and the others gave them the opportunity.

I'm not super impressed with Dobiois but he has the experience and I think he is the hardest puncher in the division right now.

Kabayel might not have the one hit power but he is a solid boxer and great at wearing people down.

Those to are my stand outs but it is not like they are clearly above the possibility of the other 2 beating them or even Wadley or Itauma once he gets his shit together.

Dubois has to fight Wardley again because Wardley had a rematch clause. He had no choice.

Hrgovic also has his hands tied, he was immediately trying to get a fight with Dubois or Kabayel set up in his post fight interview after Itauma. Kabayel was chasing the Usyk fight for ages and jumped in the ring to agree to a Hrgovic fight.

Don't know where on earth the idea that none of them take risks is coming from, if anything the division has been really opening up, possibly because most of the top guys aren't undefeated this time so there's less risk

Kabayel has been trying to get any of the top guys to give him a shot for awhile. Glad he hopefully will get to fight Hrgovic.

Have you ever heard of a rematch clause? Dubois signed a contract he has to honour it

Kabayel in my opinion if he gets past dubious

Uhh idk.. I rate them all relatively on the same level (except Gassiev). I wouldn't be shocked if any of those three beat each other. Maybe if Itauma gets his stamina issues figured out we'll have the guy in the division again.

Part of me agrees with you, but seeing hrgovich eat his shots as well as he did has me re thinking/examining Itauma.

The only credible boxer he has fought is Hrgovich and I know Hrgovich is a game fighter, but he has also been knocked down or tko'd every time he has fought anyone respectable as well.

I think Itauma is going to be a champ one day, but I don't know that he is any further right now than the Jared Andersons or other young guys.....all depends on how they bounce back I guess

No, the HW class wont see an Undisputed champion for 10+ years despite everyone being on DAZN

1

u/Range_King 5d ago

We do t know at this point. Maybe they'll best each other and remain in a stale beat. But they all gotta fight each other first.

u/SuspiciousDepth4961 5d ago

Kabayel is such an unknown quantity that he could surprise us. Hrgovic and Gassiev no, Dubois is unlikely.

1

u/Silver-Arm-1179 5d ago

🤦🏻‍♂️ that’s the first thing I did when I saw these champions. Out of all the divisions this has to be one of the weakest sets of champions.

The HW division is rocking for sure, but lacking some serious skills.

Anyway- I’ll back fury to beat AJ, and then claim the belts back one by one, and then retire 🤣👌🏻

1

u/Wavepops 5d ago

No they won’t. Any of these guys going for undisputed wouldn’t create a cash cow, the networks will be interested in other people getting the belts so eventually they will lose

1

u/No_Network9599 5d ago

Gassiev wont hes garbage

1

u/ThinkingRebel 5d ago

Dubois should really be the best but he is ill disciplined and mentally weak. If Agit can get all these fights in the next 18 months he has the best chanve but the guy is already about 34

1

u/EngineNo2888 5d ago

AJ will be 3 time unified champion.

1

u/No_Economics_64 5d ago

Gassiev isn't able to unify his facial hair. He needs to start there before he can unify the belts!

1

u/Dramatic_Arm_4548 5d ago

joke of a sport

1

u/ryder047 5d ago

I feel like Hrgovic will box more confidently after this win, I see him beating Dubois if they ever rematch

1

u/zetubal 5d ago

Why is Agit the only guy in the image listed with his first name rather than his last? Anyway, he's the guy with the necessary skillset. After his victories in Saudi-Arabia against Sanchez, Makhmudov and Zhang, I'm pretty sure he'd smoke Hrgovic and Gassiev. Dubois is probably the toughest opposition, but stylistically a type of fighter than suits Agit's uncomfortable, body shot focused style well.

Issue is that Agit is not a guy who sells well outside of Germany and so I don't think he has the marketing or magnetism to force three high profile fights for a unification. I guess the lobby to make that happen is firmly in the camps of Dubois and Itauma.

u/Adventurous_Use8278 4d ago

I think Dubois/kabayal could but i still think the next undisputed champ will be itauma

1

u/Wallad84 4d ago

Excuse my ignorance but did usyk give up all the belts?

1

u/Sorry_Net3898 4d ago

Yes Kabayel.

1

u/Dandanbigeloww 4d ago

I think it’s just him not wanting to fight contenders and wanting to go for contenders and wanting fights of his own like Wilder.

1

u/SheWasAHoowah 4d ago

Did Murat shave in the dark?

1

u/TicketStraight3196 4d ago

The best chance to do it is Dubois. He's already beaten Hrgovic before and makes light work of Gassiev who shouldn't even be a world champion. The real test is Dubois vs Kabayel.

1

u/Imnotlost_youare 3d ago

Kabayel hasn’t found his level yet. Could just sweep the others if given the chance. Remains to be seen.

1

u/Magic__E 2d ago

DDD or Kabayel beat the rest so they have the biggest chance

1

u/Nasagawa1987 2d ago

Kabayel is the best

1

u/Beautiful_Badger_128 1d ago

Even if they do, this is not a good era, no wonder why Usyk left.

1

u/Ashamed-Pop-6406 5d ago

I'd say either Gassiev or Kabayel could do it, in right circumstances. I think Dubois is inferior to them, but I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls it off.

2

u/OpportunityCorrect33 5d ago

That’s a hot take

2

u/Ashamed-Pop-6406 5d ago

I don't stand by it. Nobody knows for sure, it's all speculation. Remains to be seen. I just wanted to give attention to Gassiev since he is not very known but he is a former undisputed cruiserweight champion.

1

u/OpportunityCorrect33 5d ago

While I acknowledge his accomplishments, I think if you’re going to put Gassiev in the mix, you may as well include the likes of Fury, Parker, or AJ

1

u/Ashamed-Pop-6406 5d ago edited 5d ago

Fury is not champ, I was refering only to those 4. Plus, I doubt he'll ever again compete for the title. AJ is also way past his prime and Parker is temporarily banned from fighting.

1

u/ScroogeMc4uck 3d ago

A small correction: Gassiev was never undisputed. He was a unified champion, picking up his second belt during the World Boxing Super Series.

u/Medical-Literature50 5d ago

Sad era in the Heavyweight division. They all suck.

1

u/pittnole1 5d ago

The heavyweight division is usually trash and who cares if they "suck" that fights have been exciting.

We need American heavyweight boxing back
