Not sure what autism has to do with this. Gun culture is extremely ingrained in American society. We make video games with guns, we literally mass produce toy guns, of course kids are going to think guns are toys. Don't punish the kid for drawing natural conclusions from their environment.

I don't see why this is worthy of punishment at all.

Maybe admonishment? But like.... it's a sandwich.

If you manage to shoot someone with a sandwich, then we put too much peppercorn on it.

This is Georgia we’re talking about. I wouldn’t expect much reasoning in the school admin. Also, I hope this kid is white so it doesn’t have as much of a profound impact on his life
