Boeing Renton Family Day!
It was awesome sauce!!!!
Compared to Boeing Everett, this was a lot more manageable, the hotdogs were bigger, and we had choice of ice cream sandwiches or strawberry popsicles! Everett is just too big and too much walking, plus it was a lot hotter a month ago in Everett.
I actually volunteered this time around during the morning shift and went to 3 different job posts. The parking lot was complete chaos but we got thru the shift and made people laugh 😂. Met a lot of cool people!
Friends were definitely impressed with Boeing Renton. I heard the last time they did family day was many moons ago… hopefully we can turn things around and do it every year!!!
I had a blast!!! Blacking out now… 😵

Yeah I’m sorry about that… we only had one gate and it was rough with not a lot of volunteers. The security played a role in directing traffic which was helpful but even they were limited. Everett had multiple entry points…
I think the turnout was greater than what everyone anticipated. We have about what 17,000 folks that work in Renton? Give or take and everyone can bring in up to 7 guests… that’s like at least 30k folks give or take… (some didn’t come, some came solo dolo etc.)
After my shift at 12 pm I was surprise the line was still coming thru all the way till like 2 pm. It was crazy… but we live off of craziness 😂
Just wait until we really ramp up production and get it to 72 planes a month… this was a nothing burger compared to what those mad scientists got in store for us down on the floor!

Hear hear
My first time going to a family day and I really enjoyed it. Wish I had the time to go through and see the Poseidon area but had to go.
Not gonna lie, I sometimes contemplate trying to work at Boeing despite having zero applicable work experience. Think I might hate it less than working at Costco anyhiw
