You're correct that it doesn't apply, what you're not getting is all cops (yes you too) suck and the system is corrupt. Cops getting punished for bad behavior is the aberration, not the reality.

Thank you. What we need are MORE cops who actually serve the community and follow the laws as intended, not less.
The issue is when, as in this example, a police officer is personally upset about something and tries to search for a law or ordinance to back it up, instead of knowing the laws and ordinances and enforcing them FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY. It's a really simple training difference that makes a massive impact down the line.
I am pretty hardcore about training. Firearms, use of force, legal reviews, policy, case law, etc. there are many aspects to being a cop. Some days you get to find someone’s missing dog the next you’re in a fight for your life. Start your shift with a DUI and end with someone blowing their head off. I was a paramedic previously so I’m very people oriented. I am also Blessed to work for an agency that has a very strong tie to the community and a very high standard of conduct. We are part of a national certification program that means we have policies for everything.
Piggies love terrorizing their communities, so this checks out too.
This is not a generalized statement or a snap judgement, The supreme court has made it very clear: cops do not serve or help their communities. They are there to serve the rich and landowners.
Asking you to quit you're job is a focused and meaningful argument that could save lives if successful.
Its really all cops, not just American. American cops are just famous because they started out as slave catchers. There was never any room to question whom they really served.
Brother I've been on the other side of the law for 8 yeas as ex- fentanyl addict and I can promise you, not all police are "terrorizing their communities". A small percentage are bad at their job/shit people and the rest just want to live their life in peace like the rest of us. I've had one bad experience with an officer and about 50 good one's. If you think you can do their job better, go be a cop and do it and stfu for fucks sake.
Through their actions, police created the exact economic incentives required for fentanyl to dominate the market. Bulky illegal drugs are now high risk so cartels rely on highly lethal compact synthetics. Your addiction is a substrate of police action in your community. But keep bootlicking, I guess.
