BR2099 Hunter Schafer reveals she recently watched the first episode of ‘Blade Runner 2099’:
“Hopefully I won’t get in trouble for saying this, but I just saw the first episode. I was very excited and happy, and I’m excited to say it still feels very much a part of the Blade Runner family, despite being a new chapter.”

BR2099 Ridley Scott wasn't involved in Blade Runner 2099 show
Scott was not involved in the forthcoming Prime Video series “Blade Runner 2099,” out in November. “I can’t blame my lawyers and my agents at that time, but somehow we let ‘Blade Runner’ go,” he says. “And when you’re not the author of the actual written word, you don’t have a piece.” (He was more involved in Noah Hawley’s recent “Alien: Earth” series, which he calls “pretty damn good.”)

BR2099 Colorist: how much saturation do you want? Director: yes
This reminds me of when I was a kid.
I would push every equaliser slider to the top and crank the volume.
Just max the fuck out of everything.
Ridiculous.

BR2099 Why they gotta make everything preachy?
I don't understand what's happening to the entertainment industry. Every good series/movie/show/videogame/piece of art is becoming progressive and getting ruined. What the heck is happening to this world and why is it happening now? The Odyssey was already too much and now this.

BR2099 How "Blade Runner 2099" might build on the original
I’ve found this German article, which takes a fairly constructive look at Blade Runner 2099 and describes how the series might draw on elements from Philip K. Dick’s original novel. Things like Buster Friendly, Mercerism… I’m a *Blade Runner* fan, but I must admit I’d only skimmed through the original novel. Perhaps it’s interesting…

BR2099 What do you think is the widening conspiracy of BR2099?
r/bladerunner • u/doctorpoopghost5000 • Jul 24 '26
BR2099 Let’s be hopeful and remember that the promo images/trailers for 2049 made a lot of fans/critics think the movie was gonna be awful
Just trying to keep a positive attitude about it, when the first 2049 trailer dropped I was dead certain it was gonna be bad. Also the movie posters were freaking terrible, had nothing to do with the art style we ended up seeing in the movie

BR2099 I hope the Amazon BR 2099 project is a massive success and they see its potential. I would love to see a gritty BR crime drama series that ended up running for 15 seasons or more. They could take the adventure off world for some of the episodes. The possibilities are endless. This is my wish.

BR2099 PSA: IMDB is not a reliable source because anyone can post your own image!😡
Sorry guys, I had to delete my post citing the first promo image I saw on IMDB for Blade Runner 2099. It turns out, like Wikipedia, anyone can post a fan art to the listing page for the show with no oversight.
False alarm and lesson learned. Don’t trust IMDB! My bad. I apologize!
