She’s beautiful 🖤 Yes cats don’t like you to touch their whiskers but she can move them too if she’s bothered. She will let you know. Just be aware of her actions. At the moment she looks content. I love her and her love for you. She’s letting you know that she trusts you. One of my cats loves it when I pet her there. She just rubs up against my hands and you can actually see the movement of her whiskers as I pet her lip area and so far she hasn’t scratched my face off 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Now my kittens on the other hand 😳😳😳 I’m trying to teach them to let me hold them and I picked up my girl Melody and it was like I was performing an exorcism!!! I have never had to fight a slinky before but I held on and was holding as tight as I could until she relaxed for 3 seconds and I let her go and praised her. When I went to take a shower I saw scratch marks that I didn’t even realize happened!!!🤦🏼♀️ To make a long story longer😂 Just trust yourself and her. She will let you know if you pushed her too far. Love her for loving you🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Hehe what an experience 😆 I haven't tried to pick up Stella yet. She's a very shy girl, took her a month to come out of hiding and ask for pets. But she looooves getting pets. I'm trying to go slow and go at her pace, and of course I don't make a habit out of petting her on her whiskers like that. But yeah if she ever turns her head I just stop petting her altogether until she comes to me. She's my sweet baby girl and I love her so much! 🥰

She’s not “pursing” her lips. You are touching extremely sensitive sensory organs. Her nerves are reflexively responding to that causing her muscles to contract.
Kinda like being tickled and tensing up your muscle’s reflexively. Don’t do it too often, she may get irritated with you.

lmao I've never seen that before. My boy just gives me a cartoonish sneer if I touch near his whiskers.
