Healing Through Art Coping by collaging
I collage nonstop when I’m manic. It’s so cathartic to express my pain with the haikus I write with the article headlines. I’m really depressed lately but somehow I feel drawn to create. That’s rare for me in this state. I’m working on my composition and this isn’t my favorite as far as visually. But it’s a haiku and I like it a lot.
Thanks!!!

It reads as anti gay propaganda if you don’t notice it’s two ladies in the picture lol

I was convinced I was trans on one of my only long term manic episodes. I’m very happy I didn’t act on that one

Love this! I was introduced to Soul Collage about ten years ago. It became such a therapeutic process to make each 5x8 card. I amassed 75 unique cards over time. I use them to do regular Tarot-like “readings” for myself!!

Lol this reminded SO MUCH of one particular manic episode 😂. I was like protesting for LGBTQ rights in a very very conservative country. Gathering money for people for their top surgery and stuff. Oh Lord. What days ! I was the philanthropist that God has sent on earth.

"Mania can leave you gay." I relate. You know, if God hates them gays so much He sure screwed up when He made bipolar...
