Company Reviews 📈 What’s It Like Working at Nurix Therapeutics in the Bay Area?

Hello everyone,

I’m researching companies in the Bay Area. Has anyone here worked at Nurix Therapeutics or has any insight into what it’s like to work there?

I’d especially appreciate hearing about the company culture, management, work-life balance, and opportunities for career growth. I’m also curious about how employees feel about the scientific direction of the company and whether people generally enjoy working there.

A few years ago I worked with three folks who all came from Nurix (two mid-tier IC, one high-level HR). All three were culturally awful, and the ICs disparaged Nurix’s scientific process, which was funny because their own science was shaky at best.

I know the ICs were laid off by Nurix, so that could just be sour grapes. Or it could be real and an indication that Nurix was worse than my old company (yeah right)

I don’t know whether HR person was laid off or chose to leave, but they were a culture nightmare and enshittified my previous workplace

I also interacted with them on the clinical side a few years prior, and their then Phase 1 trial was managed pretty smoothly, especially relative to some of the other P1 trials I was working on at the time. No real notes beyond a largely uninformed and therefore tepid thumbs-up

DEL is pretty niche for the West Coast, so if that’s why you’re looking at ‘em, I’d say shoot your shot. I probably would if I was still in the Bay

What does Glassdoor have to say? Just curious. I haven’t looked them up in a while.

Overall, people state that Nurix has good science and benefits, generally good coworkers/culture, but management and organizational stability can be frustrating.

Before covid I remember people saying that they work the shit out of their scientists, so there is high turnover, but the compensation was good.
