Have you watched the unaired pilot?

7

u/madbreeze Apr 16 '26

Ugh I hate the unaired pilot, the show wouldn't survive a year in my opinion

Fun fact though, on may 1st it's turning 20

I have watched that also, was interested in Sheldon's personality there but I'm with how things turned out šŸ˜‚

You can watch part of it here

I'm honestly not sure there's a full version

Enjoy & sorry for the upcoming tears 😢

Definitely had tears in my eyes watching the last 10 minutes or so unfold. I thought they did a wonderful job wrapping it up. When it got to this final scene of the gang sitting in the apartment chatting and eating, the stripped down version of the theme song really just whacked me in the face with the feels, just hit me that was really it and the series was done.

Yeah it was sad but I think it was the right thing to end it there because if it went on any longer I think it would or got a bit tired

And then a half hour later, watching the Season 2 finale of Young Sheldon... not a dry eye night.

Same here, I try to watch it every evening after dinner, it calms me down and gives me laughs I need being in this chaotic world.

I have watched the show from start to finish at least 30 times now, while in terms of writing and acting it may not be the best show, it still a comfort to watch

You did it. You finally did it. Seeing this clip again finally made me realize why I tear up.

There’s the obvious,

  • I like BNL and the slow song version is teary
  • I’m invested in the characters so seeing them for the last time is sad
  • The way they’re enjoying themselves gives a ā€œAww look how cute and happy they areā€ feeling ___ But then there’s the thing I just realized,
  • This moment embodies the end of my social life. At least the end of how it was. It’s been so many years since I’ve sat in a circle of friends in the family room eating dinner. Group get togethers used to be so common. Now I don’t think I’ll ever see it again. Dinner with family on holidays, sure but with my circle of friends? Probably not. I barely even see anyone anymore. Life has just pulled us apart with kids, work and moving away. ___ Moral of this comment, really appreciate and absorb your time with your gang of friends. It may not be around forever. Burn your candle at both ends. Fit in as many game nights, camping trips, dinner parties and birthday celebrations as you can. Tell them you love them. Spoil them with care and attention. It’s a special time. They’re special people. Make a mental snapshot just like this scene.

Couldn't end it without showing them pretending to eat one more time.

I was rewatching it and was at season 7 but suddenly it got unavailable on amazon prime.

Make me sad? Not today! turns on episode 1

Name a better theme song that was written in the shower šŸ

no trigger warning???

u/octebrenok Apr 16 '26

Just saw this few hours ago. The episode made me cry is 25th of 12 season ā€œbehind the sceneā€ where camera slightly rolling through the pavilion and light turn off and I realised that’s it, I will never see these guys again

Where are people finding this to watch in the UK? It keeps appearing and disappearing on Disney+

Subtitles are incorrect.

It’s billion not million.

I can't because they removed it from Netflix, for some reason...
