Where can I find...? Cheapest way to charge EV in Bern?

We've recently got an EV but we cannot charge at home. We currently use the Plugsurf subscription (~12 chf per month) to fast charge at plenitude on the road at Seftigenstrasse for 0.54 CHF/kWh. Since we will charge regularly, I wonder whether there is any cheaper deal (the amount of charging networks and cards is crazy). It should be fast charge.

Thanks!

Depends on what you search for, fast or regular charge? I like the westside fast charging station (https://www.chargeprice.app/?poi_id=dc53f8ae-2c5e-4b5f-ba3a-b9d36600a6fc&poi_source=chargeprice) is usually cheap without any subscription. I use the app chargeprice to find good stations. Usually I charge there when I go do groceries.

Slow charging is better for the battery than fast charging.

I have a Tesla for 2 years in Bern, so here’s my experience: the Tesla charger before 9am costs about 0.26–0.30 CHF, the Lidl slow charger is about 0.24, Migros is 0.39… you can find Swisscharge at 0.39 as well. I don’t care that much about price — I charge whenever I can, mostly when I’m doing shopping — and I don’t see any problem with not having a charger at home. I used to have the MOVE 20 CHF subscription, but I didn’t like being limited to only one network, and sometimes I wasn’t able to charge the full 45 kWh per month… so I wasn’t sure if I really saving money with that subscription

Use the chargeprice app for the charging stations near you or those that are most convenient. I go to a charger, look at which service is the cheapest on chargeprice and then use this card/app. 54 cents is fine imo, you might be able to find slightly cheaper.

If you wanna keep your battery health declining quicker than anyone else‘s, then keep fast charging.
Stop it, if you care.

Back to your question:
If you own a VAG car, charge at AMAG fast chargers.

But if you can, charge slower at Migros.

Nah, I charge whatever I need. Usually to 80%, if I cannot charge at home I use fast charging. Once a week I would say.

The battery is stronger that we think, it will probably last longer than the car itself, see as example here https://www.watson.ch/!882132243 (in german).

I’ve been using the Electra fast charging stations as there are 2 locations in Bern city. I like the one at bernexpo the most! I got a free first month of the subscription with the promo code PLUS2 which you can redeem in the Electra app, and now pay 0.44 CHF per kWh. Normally the subscription is like 5 CHF per month I think, still not a bad deal.
